Wikipedia.

Stumbled across http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Brady_Campaign . Appears this a discussion of errors, miss statements and needed editing of information provided in Wikipedia. I had to laugh at a statement we have pondered in the pro-freedom groups.

Members?
How many members does the Brady Campaign have? I found this: http://www.campaignadvantage.com/services/websites/archive/ags/resources.html , but I couldn't find any information on the Brady Campaign's homepage. --62.214.195.97 20:48, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
HCI, VPC, etc won't release how many dues-paying members they have. They can't because the number is, I believe, extremely small. So they claim some much bigger number to make themselves more important to the media and politicians.--Davidwiz (talk) 20:55, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

Looks like this is a very dated page. Further down it lists the NRA as having 3 million members.

Last I checked we weighed in at 4.3 million.

I also wouldn't doubt that the BC counts it 150,000 "email activists" as members when it is just us gunnies.

The 3 million number comes from a very dated NRA page that hasn't been updated since the mid-90's. The 4.3 Mil was from the peak about 5 years ago. Best estimates that I've seen range from 3.6-4M current members.

Either way, exponentially more than the opposition. They just have most of the media on their side.

They count anyone they send a newsletter to. So I am probably listed as a member, even though I own several firearms and am a member of the NRA.
