I'ld Give My Wife Anything She Needed...
On that note: An Ohio Chief "Only One" broke several basic safety rules while "teaching his daughter gun safety" and ended up shooting himself in the leg.
Perhaps as an example of what NOT to do?
Holiday Shopping
Gotta love it.
Shoppers trampling a worker in their rush to finance China.
Two (who I'm sure were gang-bangers) shoot eachother after their women fight.
Online and catalogs for me.

Product Warning...
PARIS – A French appeals court says Voodoo dolls of President Nicolas Sarkozy may remain on sale, but must carry a notice saying that pricking them harms the president's dignity.
To funny. Obviously the French President is WAY to sensitive. He should try playing US politics for awhile.

NJ Church Shooter
"he would have killed everyone in the church if he'd had a machine gun."
Especially since he knew everyone there was defenseless thanks to the actions of Bryan Miller, Paul Helmke, and Josh Sugarmann. Yet Bryan claims he's 'concerned about saving lives'. To do so he encourages people to become victims.
What's really funny is now that Bryan's got a quote from a deranged lunatic on what he 'would have done" had he had a particular type of heavily restricted weapon, he (Bryan) will now make the fallacy of claiming that similar restrictions on ALL types of weapons will prevent others from causing harm.
Posting nonsense like this is how Bryan celebrates Thanksgiving apparently.

Chapman on the Chicago Gun Ban
Basically King Dick thinks he's his father and can control not only the entire city but the courts as well. He is a deranged megalomaniac who believes ultimate power in the city derives from him. As the last holdout of the Illinois Handgun ban craze of the early Eighties, Daley is going to fight this all the way to SCOTUS.
Carl in Chicago notes in the comments that Chapman forgot (or was unaware) of the other players in the case such as Gura and Sigale, the ISRA, and SAF and points readers to the Chicago Gun Case website.

$400,000+ mistake
The election of incompetent politicians who hire incompetent friends and relatives for government positions.
In this case, Cook County, IL board president Stroger released a county budget that was filled with miscalculations and errors. Things even an accounting student would have been able to catch. And one wonders why the County is facing a budget crisis even with some of the highest tax rates in the nation.
Now comes the finger pointing. The blaming of underlings (that they hired) and the recoating of Teflon while collecting their $100K+/year salaries.
And Chicago politics will continue unabated. Just like the people who voted for them deserve.

Oak Forest, IL Uniformity..
After a 2006 shootout in which an officer ran out of ammo and his partner did not use the same caliber of firearm, police officials have decided that a standard needed to be set.
They decided to go w/ a Springfield Armory .45 for all their officers.
Local company. Effective caliber. More efficient operations.
Good call all around.

Effects of Chicago Crime
Even more firearm purchases. My mom is buying a KelTec P32 since she liked the one belonging to the wife.
My local FFL couldn't find any through his regular distributors ("Zero's across the board" was his expression) but I found a few on GunBroker and GunsAmerica.
A couple of boxes of ammo and a spare mag should make a nice X-mas gift for her now.

Is it or Isn't it?
Can a non-serialized firearm produced between 1880 and 1941 be used in a criminal prosecution for illegal possession?
According to prosecutors in Omaha, NE, the answer is no. Since they can't tell when it was manufactured hence whether it's legally classified as a firearm it couldn't be entered into evidence.
So will this be classified as the "Antique Gun Loophole"?

Chicago crime still spiking.
With 50 murders in the month of October, Chicago's murders are over 16% higher than last year. They're still well on track for breaking 500 for the first time in 5 years.
Daley's response to this is to issue out several hundred "Assault Weapons" to a reduced police force. I guess they're supposed to 'spray fire from the hip' to, as the Brady's state, 'slaughter people' in 'offensive military assaults' to create 'mass produced mayhem'.
Oh wait. I forgot. When they're in the hands of the authorities, they magically transform into highly accurate 'Patrol Rifles".
