Critical Defense Ammo: Before & After

My Uncle took some Hornady Critical Defense Ammo to the range and put it up against some water jugs. He recovered the bullets and put them in comparison to the pre-fired rounds:







Commentary on the results:

From this point on, this is the only loads that I keep in my home defense weapons. I was particularly impressed with the 40SW. It did more damage to the first jug than any of the others including the 45acp. In 2011 Hornaday is adding a 45 colt to it's line up and I will be replacing the 45 colt leverevolution rounds that I currently have in my Taurus judge.

The Slow Death of Gun Control

Anti-gun advocates like to point to the MAIG poll showing a whole bunch of NRA members are clamoring for more gun laws. When it isn't a gun control group using a company that's been censured multiple times, the results are completely opposite.



It's always entertaining to watch PuSH'ers try and deny the fact that support for their cause has been decreasing for over two decades. We now have the majority of the population not in favor of stricter laws but also the majority of state and federal legislators along with multiple SCOTUS decisions supporting the 2A.

Now that certainly doesn't mean that gun control is dead though. Like bedbugs or roaches, they'll return at any opportunity to push their restrictive agenda. And we need to make sure support for gun control is viewed in the same light.

I Luv the Intertubes

I like collecting Camo. Some stuff is really hard to find in the states. So today I went searching around on the German Ebay and found a few places. With the help of some online translators (not perfect I know but better than my German) I've been talking to them about purchasing some items. I also used a site that provided up to date exchange rates to figure out how much it would cost and will be using some type of internet based payment.
