And making 'more' laws when the current ones aren't being enforced will obviously work. Sorry Ladd, committing a felony is not 'lawful' just as criticizing our gov't is not 'treason'.

Which leads to the next funny. The gun banners like to blame gun shops for selling guns to gangs and terrorists, especially the ones in Mexico.


Well that's pretty damning. Now how did that particular firearm get into Mexico? Oh right, the BATFE let it 'walk' there in order to try and catch some 'big fish'. They've been very cagey as to details of when and where though unsurprisingly.

So far the only mention of Project Gunwalker, currently in the process of Congressional hearings and evidence it goes up really high, by the 'gun control' groups is to call the NRA hypocrites for mentioning it.

Libelous Ladd Everitt @CSGV 'Wall of Shame'

I woke up w/ a smile this morning. Seems I made the CSGV's 'Wall of Shame' w/ my obvious attempts to tweak Ladd Everitt's (aka Grits Jr. and Minister of Propaganda at CSGV) nose. He's so easy.

Over the course of 9 hrs, I got 4 hits from that page.

For newer readers, Ladd really doesn't like me because I was the one who published the fact he was using a sockpuppet to promote his boss's articles .

Winning is not enough

I try to keep a light-hearted attitude when dealing with the antis mainly because their idiocy is so blatant that I truly believe their public comments do more good than harm to our cause.

Heller and McDonald have been out for a while now and we still see the collective rights argument. Makes them look like ostriches with their head in the sand. We win, they lose.

Phrases like “Loughner-style assault clips” and “big bullet blasting boxes” make me giggle like a school girl in a rather manly sorta way.

Statements that can be found on the Brady Bunch Facebook page like “all guns should be registered so we know who has guns and anyone who doesn’t register their guns should be fined $1000 for each gun we don’t know that they have” makes me shake my head and then look at the cat litter box and ask myself questions about the legality of sending feces through the U.S. Postal Service. I have a fantasy about gathering up some fresh cat crap and smearing it all over a dollar bill and sending it to the Brady Campaign.

But I have lots of fantasies concerning our adversaries, some of which aren’t even politically correct.

I used to get satisfaction spanking them on the Brady blog, back when they allowed comments. When they enacted “reasoned discourse” I got satisfaction spanking them on HuffPo. I started to recognize a fantastic dynamic that the antis were transforming from a true threat into a form of entertainment. That’s not to say that we shouldn’t maintain vigilance; far from it. But, throughout history, desperation is not exactly known for having beautiful offspring.

Yes, we have many fights ahead of us yet our progress isn’t too shabby even under the most hostile conditions. The Prez is a tactical politician, and he is smart. Yes, he’s surrounded himself with the who’s who of gun control, but we not only continue to spank, we have now created an environment in which they spank themselves.

Winning individual battles here and there is and will be my focus, for sure. But I won’t really be satisfied until Paul Helmke knocks on my door at 3am and begs me to change his diaper because “I'm dirty.”

I should probably stop here.

We're Not Done

HB148 was pulled before voting was complete so it's not done yet. And those legislators that promised "We're with you Otis (McDonald)" ? Well what they really meant was "That's nice old man. Go away now."

Now we push back harder. We keep making those calls. If you're an Illinois resident have not signed up for the Illinois State Rifle Association and/or a local organization. DO IT. Sign up a family member or a friend. Log on to IllinoisCarry to keep up w/ the news. Sign on to the E-mail alerts, Twitter Feeds and FB pages.

DO IT. And we'll have the next vote.

We're going to get the names of those who voted against this bill and we will put their legislative seats in jeopardy. We will show them where the strength in this state lies.

We already know that Ladd Everitt considers the 2A to be 'nonsense' and they think Due Process is 'terrible' and 'corrupt'.

The entire idea of rights are contemptible to him. He prefers an absolutist Gov't keeping him 'safe'.

Illinois Gets 35/100 from Brady Campaign

They've changed their 'scorecard' to give Illinois an extra 7 points compared to last year since no new laws have been passed. Whatever's current in the news apparently.

From a cursory glance, it seems to have raised their 'strong' states a hair (the 'strongest' being an 80/100 CA) and lowering their 'weak' states. At least two now are at Zero points.

Exploiting the News to Ban Guns.

How can gun control advocates take advantage of the death of OBL? By claiming we're arming the next one.

Maybe they should talk to the ACLU about why 10 yr old boy scouts are on these secret gov't watchlists, how there's no oversight, and why the Gov't can withhold information when you try and appeal.

All things I'm sure the Founding Fathers meant for this great nation .

Update: And out good buddy at the CSGV, Ladd Everitt aka GritsJr, made a comment stating the 'NRA policies' of opposing Lautenburg's bill which all but eliminates Due Process, were 'terrible' and 'corrupt'. Then that comment went down the memory hole.
