Flaming Turds

As in going down in...

Manchin-Toomey fails in the US Senate 54-46.

IL HB0831 (a shell bill) 'May Issue' amendment 1 fails spectacularly in Springfield. 31-76. (endorsed by the Joyce Funded ICHV)

June 9th is close baby.

Update:  Unsurprisingly, both of Illinois' turd senators voted for M-T.  They also both voted to ban the majority of firearms in the US, Mag bans and Durbin against veterans.

What this whole flaming mess was was a who's who of endorsements and opposition for the next election cycle.

Man, the HB 0831 vote must have Illinois gun-haters in a panic, especially Lisa Madigan.

Does this mean that gun control is now dead in Congress? Or do we have to worry about more bills being introduced later?

We always have to worry about more bills but I think the crisis has passed for the moment. If you watch Seb's blog, everything, pro and anti is going down.

Well yes, I didn't mean to suggest that we'd never have anything to fear ever again. I just want to know if I can unclench my buttocks until the next tragedy in a gun-free zone.

Interesting image. ;) Assuming that the Lautenberg mag ban goes down as well, I would give a tentative yes.

Blumenthal-Lautenberg, right? The one that's up for debate right now?

Just defeated 46-54

Oh thank goodness! My poor buttcheeks can finally relax. ;)

Hello Thirdpower

Remember Robyn Ringler?

Well the Albany NY Times Union is at it again after Sandy Hook and I hope you and your readers could stop over and say hello to her heir apparent Lawrence White....Slippery fellow that he is. Sound off about King Cuomo's unSAFE Act.
