The Gun Control Agenda

The Question:

What number of firearm murders or crimes would be low enough for you to say "We don't need another law"?

The Answer: "O"

Now that's an O, not a 0 but we all know what Japete/Joan Peterson means.

The number of firearm related murders in the US has dropped by 10% over the last 5 years w/o any major new 'gun control' laws being enacted and progressive firearm laws continuing to spread across the nation.

Even in countries like China and Japan where effectively all guns are banned, there are firearm murders and deaths.

But even those laws aren't good enough for gun control advocates. They will want MORE.

So remember that when they say they only want 'reasonable', 'common-sense' laws this is their 'goal'. And when those laws don't work, what's next? And next? And after that?

Where do they finally end since the admitted goal is unachievable?

In one of the current cases against local gun bans/restrictions,Wilson, et. al. v. Cook County, et. al., turns out the lawyers for the county were either ignorant or lying. Their brief misquoted the Heller and McDonald decisions, adding in phrases that don't exist in the decisions and changing their meaning. When this was pointed out to them, they blamed it on 'electronic errors'.

Yeah. OK.

"If I were a cynic," continued Pearson (ED of ISRA), "I'd suggest that these 'electronic errors' were just poorly executed attempts by the Cook County State's Attorney's office to re-write the Heller and McDonald decisions more to Mayor Daley's liking."

So basically the lawyers made some crap up, got caught and are now pointing fingers. And how many tax dollars are going to defend these regressive laws?

SAF Customer Service Win

Last month the SAF ran a fabulous special on memberships. Well about two weeks later a box arrived w/ my Life Member plaque, coupons, stickers, belt buckle etc. The standard benefits. What didn't arrive were the promised specials including DVD's and Books.

I gave it a while longer since the PO has been horrible lately but sent them an e-mail about it yesterday. This was the reply I got:

I am sending you another package today. When you receive the first one we sent just keep it as well.
There are no DVDs left however and they put in a few other items instead. Have a great holiday season.

They are so getting my next gun group donation.

AHSA Bought and Paid For

Remember the American Hunters and Shooters Assoc.? The group we called another Wolf in Sheeps Clothing trying to convince gun owners to support 'reasonable' gun control? Remember how we wondered where all their money was coming from? Remember how they said they were 'non-partisan' but ONLY supported Gun Control supporting Democrats and judges? Before they went offline AFTER the election that is.

Well the truth is out and really comes as no surprise:

The Obama campaign paid for Schoenke's travel to 40 events in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida and Colorado to address pro-gun voters.

As Kurt Hoffman/45Superman put it when he sent this to me : He was damned near a paid employee of the Obama campaign.

So a guy who gave thousands of dollars to gun control groups, started his own and then supported gun control politicians was paid to do so.

Shock.

A Plant or Just Dumb as a....

I'm certainly of former Lightbringer COS Rahm Emanual. He opposes due process, is a Brady mouthpiece and a Chicago politician in general.

He is currently being questioned to verify his residency status for his run for Chicago Mayor.

And one of the idiots involved is working hard to hand Rahm as much positive publicity as he can.

During questioning there were multiple outbursts from one objector in the room, Jeffrey Black, shouting, "You're under arrest Mr. Emanuel. You're running out of time. Indict Rahm."

So is this twit really that over the top or is he a plant in order to discredit the entire issue?

A new law allows people who didn’t pay sales tax on items bought online, through the mail or over the phone between June 20, 2004, and the end of 2010 to pay what they owe without penalty. The tax amnesty runs from Jan. 1 through Oct. 15.

Yeah. Right. Sure.

Just another attempt by this bankrupt state to gouge more money.

Cool Headgear Finds

While looking for some surplus pants for a buddy of mine I came across some neat finds.


A 1970's era Soviet Garrison cap and a WWII era US Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) cap.

While perusing Ebay Germany I also found some repop post war East German camo uniforms. Those are on the way. History is much fun.

The Dissent Speaks

Justice Breyer, to compound his numerous factual errors in his dissents in Heller and McDonald, decides to say past supreme courts also didn't know what they were talking about.

Huh? Where does he say that?

Why right here:

Madison "was worried about opponents who would think Congress would call up state militias and nationalize them. 'That can't happen,' said Madison," said Breyer,

Well then obviously Justice Breyer must take to task the decision in Perpich v. Department 1990 of Defense which re-enforced and ruled constitutional the National Guard Mobilization Act of 1933 and the Montgomery Amendment of 1987 which federalized the NG and then stated that Governors couldn't withhold consent.

So the 'state militia's' (which according to another SCOTUS decision, MD v US 1965 "The National Guard is the modern Militia reserved to the States by Art. I. 8, cl. 15, 16, of the Constitution.") have been permanently nationalized and have been called up near indefinitely but we don't hear a peep about that.

Wonder why.

Finding a Middle Ground?

Japete/Joan Peterson of the Brady Campaign/Joyce Puppet groups has openly admitted that there are some gun laws on the books that are NOT 'sensible' or 'reasonable':

Gun laws already on the books are, for the most part, sensible and reasonable and found to be legal.

And for the most part I agree. Now we need to get Joan to start discussing which ones she would be willing to have discarded in order to reach a common ground in reducing violence levels while maintaining the rights of the citizenry.

A simple enough question, don't you think? Wouldn't any reasonable person want to talk about such a solution?

One wonders then why she refuses to post my very polite comments asking her.

Oh right. Nevermind.
