Fellowship Of The (Cow) Flops

In June, I noted that the Joyce Foundation pumped $425 large to the 'New Venture Fund' to support messaging research on gun violence and gun policy and support the development and launch of a new online organization.

Media Matters (a $400K recipient itself) has now launched a new website.

If you travel to our favorite Brady board member's site, you'll see something new at the bottom:
This post is written as part of the Media Matters Gun Facts fellowship. The purpose of the fellowship is to further Media Matters' mission to comprehensively monitor, analyze, and correct conservative misinformation in the U.S. media. Some of the worst misinformation occurs around the issue of guns, gun violence, and extremism; the fellowship program is designed to fight this misinformation with facts.
So they've formed a 'fellowship' to copy/paste each others' smear attacks, PSH and fabrications. Likely receiving Joyce Foundation money in return.

I left a comment over at one site, another so-called 'progressive', on the dishonest claims and some extra little history about 'Media Matters'. No surprise, it was 'moderated' and hasn't seen the light of day. It was finally posted but w/o anything resembling refutation.

They don't want 'facts'. They want echo chambers and the appearance that they have more support than they actually do.

I wonder if she's still going to claim she only speaks for herself on her blog.

left a comment. Getting gray waiting for it to come out of moderation.

After Fast & Furious, they really have nothing left, do they?

I remember when the meme was "Don't pay any attention to Thirdpower/Tamara/Uncle/Huffman/Snarkybytes/Etc., because they're part of the Triangle of Death; the NRA sends them Wheelbarrows of Cash to keep them blogging about gun rights."

Now it's "PAY ATTENTION! No, not to the hundreds of thousands of dollars we have to pay people to produce anti-gun blog articles while the gun nuts pay out of their own pockets to travel and produce excellent daily writing, but to our message. Just because we have to pay through the nose to get a tenth of the content that SayUncle and Tamara produce on their hobby blogs doesn't mean our message is less valid!"

Fellowship? What, are they in Church? With Joan Peterson lead soloist? Evidently they have to pay MediaMatters to sit in the choir, or the pews. So who's a "Christianist" now?

Or is it like, The Fellowship of the Wing-nuts.
