It Only Took 20 Years for Their 'Gotcha' Moment

Every time a state passed a CCW law, gun control advocates cried to the heavens that there would be blood in the streets and shootouts over parking spaces. Well, they were finally (partially)right, over 20 years after PA passed their law (16 for Philly).

Congratulations to the gun control groups for their clairvoyance. By 2031, maybe they'll do it again.

Why are Gun Control Activists So Violent? #876

Another proud Laddite projects why she's anti-gun:

So does the CSGV endorse assault against those they oppose politically?

Even Joyce Foundation Puppets Get It..

From the latest IACP report:
Despite their popularity, research has shown no evidence that buyback
programs are getting crime guns off the street.
Gone are the mentions of various gun bans and phrenology.

Telling.

Anatomy of a Gun Hater

It's often mentioned that gun control advocates often have some sort of emotional issue that they project onto firearms and firearm owners whether it be their own anger issues or some sort of trauma that they blame others for instead of dealing w/ it in a healthy, productive way. One example of this is Joan Peterson of the Brady Campaign/Joyce Foundation.

Another example has just been revealed on DU w/ a long term, fanatical gun hater by the name of Jpak:
Someone shot my 2 cats in my front yard - in town - when I lived in Texas

same douchebag "gun hero" mentality
In his mind, all firearm owners and especially advocates could be the ones that allegedly shot his cats and they should all be held accountable for it no matter the circumstances. He uses his trauma as a shield against any form of evidence or facts to the contrary, interpreting it as a personal attack against him, the 'victim', making him even more of a 'True Believer' as only an evil person would attack a 'victim'.

This is the kind of mindset that is increasing making up the (albeit shrinking) ranks of gun control advocacy. How can one possibly reason w/ people like this?

State's Rights

If regulating firearms is a 'state's rights' issue, why is there a federal agency that deals w/ it?

Thanksgiving in Chi-town

Man Toting Loaded Assault Rifle Walks into Police Station, Declares Martial Law
Chicago - A man is in custody Thanksgiving morning after walking into a West Side police station with a fully-loaded rifle and declaring martial law.

The man entered the Harrison District police station at 3151 W. Harrison St. about 4 a.m. with a fully-loaded AR-15 assault rifle and 30-round magazine, police said. The man said he was declaring martial law, but did not point the gun at anybody or fire any shots.
Carrying a rifle in the city - Illegal
AR-15 in Cook County/Chicago - Illegal
30 rnd Magazine in Chicago - Illegal
Chicago/Illinois - Long gun registration/firearm licensing

Officer Shot in Hand During Chase, Exchange of Gunfire

Chicago - A police officer was shot in the hand, and a suspect was wounded, during a shootout and chase early Thursday on the South Side.
Running from police - Illegal
Loaded gun in vehicle in IL - Illegal
Attempted murder of police officer - Illegal
Chicago/Illinois - Stringent handgun registration/firearm licensing

One more law would have made them think twice. Right?

@VPCinfo Doesn't Understand Percentages

The VPC recently tweeted this:

What percentage is this $276K of the NRA's total donations each year?

Then there's Josh Sugarmann's near exclusive income from the Joyce Foundation.

Who's the mouthpiece/puppet again?

Let's look at it another way. The Anti's were up in arms the other day over a report that Wayne Lapierre makes over $1m annually. The NRA has a membership of about 4m. That's .25/member/yr not even figuring in donations from the 'industry'. That's 1% of your annual dues. Again, we're not even accounting for donations and other income.

Were we to put Josh in the same situation, he would make $0.00/year since the VPC has NO membership. If we were to be generous and he got 1% of the total income of the VPC/yr, he would make about $4k on average. But instead, he pockets about $140K/yr, between him and Rand, nearly 1/3rd of the VPC's operating budget.

What a racket.

Chicago Victims of 'Gun Violence'

Father 'Snuffy' Pfleger, the man who threatened the life of FFL dealers, continues his crusade against firearm ownership:
He was joined by advocates and about 20 people who had lost family members to gun violence, including several parents who stepped forward with photos of their dead children.
Well now let's look at the numbers. Statistically of those 20:

15 had a prior criminal record
13 were gang related

How many of them were 'good boys', 'straight A students', and 'trying to turn their lives around'?

But Snuffy thinks it's legal firearm owners who are the problem.
