Two Tales of a Dindu Nuffin

As I mentioned yesterday, a completely legit defensive shooting in Chicago.  Of course the family of the criminal wants to get paid.

Oronsaye also said the shooter needed to be punished for killing a member of the community.
“You just took a brother, you just took a father from a lot of people. Somebody’s got to answer for that,” he said.

He's been watching too many movies and video games:

“Some people don’t actually know how to use guns,” Oronsaye said. “They go to firing ranges, but it’s not the same as a bullet going into someone’s body, it’s not the same as a bullet going into flesh. They should be able to wound first, kill next. He didn’t deserve to get shot multiple times.”

He's correct on one thing.  He has no idea how to use guns, except maybe aimed sideways.

 And the Washington Post makes up a story of a 'Halloween Prank gone wrong'

Was the shooting a Halloween prank gone horribly wrong?” he asks.

All the while talking up the criminal and denigrating the firearm owner.

The Chicago Sun-Times lists the criminal as a 'victim' w/ a subjective header:

 Suspected robber Reginald Gildersleeve was carrying a paintball gun when a customer with a concealed carry permit shot him to death in a grocery store on the Southwest Side, Chicago Police said Monday.

No mention of him threatening/assaulting the family.

Now how do the owners feel?  What do they think?

In a telephone interview Monday night, the store's co-owner, Pina Cabrales, said Gildersleeve worked with her at the store in 2011 and that over the years he would come in asking for money.
She said she last saw him Oct. 25 when he came in asking for cash and she gave him $20. He was in tears.
"I told him to take the money and never to return," she said. "I don't like to see anyone suffer, especially a man who is in tears."
When she heard that Gildersleeve had held a gun to her child's head, she felt betrayed.
"I see him as the angel God put here to protect my family," Cabrales said.

So this 'church-going', 'turning his life around' lifelong criminal gets his money cut off, then terrorizes the family that he had been 'close' too for so many years in order to steal from their livelyhood.  What kind of a person does that?

And acting the apologist for his actions will just enable more. 

CCW Violates Violent Criminal's Rights

So a completely legit self-defense shooting in Chicago.  The gun wasn't taken away from the license holder.  The police didn't come and ventilate him thinking he was the criminal.  None of the claimed missteps occurred.

Then there's this from an Asst. Prof. of Sociology.

No cares about the safety or due process of the real victims here.  The ones having their lives and livelihoods threatened.  That poor armed robber should have been given the benefit of the doubt.

I wonder if he would feel the same way if he were the one being robbed.

This one then goes on to create a bunch of those strawmen on what 'might' happen but didn't then declares gun owners a bunch of meanies for telling him off.

This guy beats down a whole field of strawmen and denies he wants to disarm gun owners but keeps ranting on how dangerous they are.  "Some of my best friends are gun owners".  I almost died laughing. He eventually blocked me after claiming that the Supreme Court forced CCW on the rest of the states because of IL.  Yes, you read that right.

Advocates of violent criminals.  Gotta love 'em.

Cook County's "Gun Violence Coordinator"

Outside of the obvious jokes over the title of the job, Cook County (aka mostly Chicago) is getting more gov't employees at the taxpayer expense.

(CBS) — The Cook County Board has approved appointing a gun violence coordinator who will be expected to “live, eat, breathe and sleep gun violence,” reports WBBM’s Mike Krauser....

“All they do is live, eat, breathe and sleep gun violence and make sure that they come up ideas,” Boykin said.

Sheriff Tom Dart will appoint the gun violence coordinator.

So here's what's going to happen.  It's going to be a political appointment, not anyone w/ any actual experience, most likely associated w/ an IL based gun control group.  The only 'Coordinating' they're going to do is to coordinate the lobbying activities of said gun control groups in the state to push for more anti-gun laws.

Nothing will be done about the rampant gangs, drugs, or social collapse that are the primary precursors of the violence.  And the cycle will continue. 

Charleston, IL Becoming 'Little Chicago' UPDATE

I posted some issues a few weeks ago involving multiple, strong-arm robberies and violent assaults.  Just over the last week there was a 'mob action' in the local Wally-world and another shooting.


From the local paper:

The fight apparently started because of a "past disagreement with people in their high school" and was not a random incident, Oyer said.
He said the people involved are not current or former Charleston High School students but he declined to provide any additional information.

Eastern Illinois University issued an "off-campus crime advisory" by email to its students and staff that said a pedestrian might have fired a gun at a vehicle

 Over in the next town, the state DOC is using a homeless shelter as a dumping ground for transients.  The results are what you would expect.

MATTOON -- A reported resident of the Mattoon Area PADS homeless shelter has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a 16-year-old girl who had been providing volunteer services in connection with PADS.

 At a recent community meeting regarding moving the shelter, opponents of the move were physically and verbally threatened by several of the residents.

Why Are Anti-Gun Activists So Violent?

Not directly an 'anti-gun' activist but peripherally supported it.

Prosecutor who was involved in a case to criminally charge an 8th grader for 'obstruction' for refusing to take off an NRA shirt pulls out a gun in his work office threatening to shoot Halloween spider decorations.

Yeah.  Does anyone else hear the guy from Southpark "I am above ze law". Since he was  an APA, he has all sorts of special powers that the everyday subject does when it comes to carrying.

I had video of the event and a good description of the thief. I filled out the online form with no issues, but a week later it came back as not being a valid online submission because the theft took place outside of the residence. Porches don’t count. I had to resubmit through whatever number they gave, which of course I did not.

The Stupid Never Stops..

So we've got the CSGV joining the Brady Bunch calling gun owners terrorists, the NGVAC throwing out their usual nonsense, and now Obama's mouthpiece calling for firearm homicides to increase nationwide.

White House press secretary Josh Earnest conceded Monday that Chicago is a city with a high rate of gun crimes and murder despite having very strict gun control laws. But he said that’s even more of an argument for stricter national laws.

Yeah, exactly. 

Is this the message he's going to give to the anti-gun IACP? Wouldn't surprise me.

Why Are Anti-Gun Activists So Violent? (Language Alert)

So John Boch, head of GSL in Illinois stops at a gas station.  A passerby notices the GSL bumpersticker and it causes him to lose his mind.

“You’re those fucking people that put guns in the hands of killers.  Guns don’t save lives, gun kill people, you stupid fuck.”

“No, fuck you.  Are you going to fucking shoot me?  Here’s a better idea, you sick fuck:  Why don’t you shoot yourself!”

 “You guys are fucking nuts.  You run around with your guns, ready to fucking snap and start killing people.” 

 “Oh, you gonna call the cops?  Why don’t you go fuck yourself.  Fuck you and fuck the police,” he screams.

Think about this.  He actively confronts and threatens an individual he assumes is armed and is 'ready to snap and start killing people'. 

THIS is why he is anti-gun, because this is how they react to their anger and they assume that's how everyone is.

This is also why we carry.

Following That Joyce Gun Control Money

It's been awhile since I last looked at the Joyce Foundation grant money lists, mostly because they pulled their lists for several years offline because we were showing how little public support gun control has and that most of it comes from elites like the Joyces, Soros, and Bloomberg. 

Well some of it's back up and the numbers are just as interesting as before. 

Josh Sugarmann and the VPC seem to be weening themselves off the Joyce teat, only receiving about 30% of their total money from them ($250K), which almost covers Josh's and Kirsten Rand's salaries ( $150k ea.)

The 'New Venture Fund' has seen their monies go from about $450K to over $1m/year under various grants.  The NVF seems to be a hub for money distribution to other sources.  Gotta keep as much of it hidden as they can.  

The Chicago Mayor's office has gotten $150K/year for the last several years to push gun control along w/ another $250K to the ICHV.

Harvard has gotten about $500K for the last few years.

the CSGV's 'Educational Fund' $150K and Bloomie's Everytown $350K and the WI 'WAVE over $300k/year.

Overall nearly $5.5 million dollars being dumped into gun control efforts every year just by the Joyce Foundation alone. So while the accusations that the NRA are just 'gun lobby' whores abound, the fact remains that anti-gun activism is paid for almost exclusively by a few rich philanthropists w/ their own private armed security.
