PETA: Better For Animals To Starve Than Be Hunted

In another one of their incoherent rants against hunting, I caught this:
Immediately following a hunt, there's less competition for food. The surviving deer are better nourished, which can lead to a higher reproductive rate and lower neonatal mortality.
So PETA finds it totally acceptable for animals to die of starvation or disease as long as they're not 'murdered' by hunters.

Wow.

PETA is even crazier than the Brady bunch, which is saying a lot.

Not surprising at all, seeing as they are also leading a campaign against that black market fur trader...Mario:

Correct.

Because they are not (and often don't even pretend to be) animal welfare activists.

They're animal "rights" activists, where the "right" in question is to live in the cruel and base state of nature.

They don't care about animals suffering, as long as it's not something they can beat other humans about.

This explains all their positions better than any other hypothesis available.
