The author has taken a tongue in cheek tone so far as to make all the arguments against gun control for us while belittling his own cause.

I'm known to be a bit obtuse but I'm just wondering if we read the same article.
He may be doing it tongue in cheek but in doing so he's gone so far as to make it a pro-gun article.
