Who in there right mind needs a fucking silencer!!! who needs a freaking SBR AR15? No one. No more Virginia Tech, Columbine HS, Wisconsin temple, Aurora theatre, Portland malls, Tucson rally, Newtown Sandy Hook. Whether by executive order or thru a bi-partisan congress an assault weapons ban needs to be re-instituted. Period!!!

Sen. Feinstein, you are doing the right thing in leading the re-institution of a national AWB. Never again should any public official state that their prayers and thoughts are with the family.

Sound familiar?  Sounds like each and every rant made by gun control activists on pages like those of the CSGV, Brady Campaign or any other one.  One could even say that it was inspired by people like Ladd Everitt since it uses all the classic talking points and meme's.

This is a little different however.  This was written by serial cop killer (and former LAPD officer) Chris Dorner as just a part of a long, conspiracy theory filled rant.

Again, though, this is a little different.  In his rant, he also mentions strong support for Obama.  All this is being left out of the reporting by the MSM.   The same way they're leaving out the mention of the SPLC connection in the FRC shootings and the fact that the shooter used their 'hate map' to pick targets.

In response, the LAPD have turned into a modern equivalent of the Keystone Cops but nowhere near as funny.  So far, they've shot up two pickup trucks and wounded at least two civilians that remotely resembled the shooters' reported vehicle.

Why is all this going on? If the shooter had even been rumored to be 'right wing', the press would be all over it and Ladd Everitt would be screaming 'insurrectionist'.  But since he's not, they're not.  Instead they're 'waiting', just as they critisized the NRA for doing after Sandy Hook. The media is selectively editing the news to protect and endorse the president and his pet policies.  They are ignoring any facts that don't fit into their self created stereotype of all shooters being conservative white guys.

These two people are bat-sh!t crazies, but they;re the 'lefts' crazies.  And they really hate that.

Chicago: Only Call Police if it's Important

'Important' being defined if you are in the process of being murdered.  Otherwise they'll take a 'report' over the phone (right before they send it into the circular file).

House got robbed?  Car smashed? Property vandalized?  Yeah. Too bad, so sad.  No police for you.  Only if you're in 'immediate danger' will they think about showing up. 

So are you Chicago subjects glad you pay some of the highest taxes in the country for substandard service? Maybe they can spend more on taking public school students (w/ a 50% dropout rate) out of school and bused to Springfield so they can be used to lobby for more laws.  Maybe Daley and Rahm can have more publicly funded security details.  Maybe they can use more tax dollars to fund 'gun buybacks' from little old ladies.

You certainly are getting your money's worth.

What They Want For Firearm Owners: Prison

As Sebastian TBFKASIH clearly states, there is nothing about these laws that have anything to do w/ crime control or reducing murders. It has to do w/ hate.  Hate of firearms, firearm owners and anyone who dares to oppose them.

Nathan Haddad, a decorated veteran w/ no criminal record, is facing 7 years under 5 felony counts ,classified as violent felonies, for possessing 5 30 rnd AR mags. 

7 years in prison and listed as a violent felon for having 5 magazines. 

This is the same 'crime' that DC prosecutors failed to pursue when David Gregory, a news pundit, did the same thing. 

They are trying to create an elite class in the US and firearm owners will be at the bottom of the rung, treated as criminals and sexual predators w/ no presumption of innocence in the courts and registration systems so they know where you are at all times. 

Think I'm exaggerating? Take a look at the comments on the FB pages of places like the Brady Campaign, CSGV or on Huffpo gun related articles.  It's not the rare exception of supporters calling for confiscation, imprisonment and attacks against you. 

They hate you and everything you stand for.  It has nothing to do w/ crime.

Chicago: Blunt Trauma = 'Death by Natural Causes'

You have to admire the lengths the city will go to to try and keep their crime numbers down. Via 2nd City Cop comes this gem.

Father and daughter in domestic altercation. Father beats daughter over the head until she loses consciousness.   Dies at the scene. 

"ME ruled death NATURAL - Pulmonary Embolism, victim was struck in head by father who is in custody."

Coded as a 'non criminal death'.

So why is the father in custody?   In any civilized place, this would be 2nd degree murder.  But this is Chicago where politics comes before crime control.

So who's the bigger piece of scum?  The father who beat his daughter to death or the politicians and bureaucrats that are manipulating the system?

Gun Porn: Beretta 92S

Picked up my new Beretta 92S today that I traded for my RIA 1911 last weekend (stupid waiting periods).

 Took it out and ran a magazine through it.  No issues so far that I can see.  Picking up a few more mags +holster and will be replacing the grips w/ a sweet walnut set.

The biggest problem will be finding the ultra-rare 9mm ammo (at least around here) at non-insane prices.

Sylvester Stallone: Dumb as a Post and Hypocrite

Rambo, while making movies and money by glorifying killing as many people as possible and cutting people in half w/ .50 cal machine guns, (his latest film is called 'Bullet to the Head') has been a long time anti-gun advocate. 

His latest rants show just how stupid he really is:

"I know people get (upset) and go, 'They're going to take away the assault weapon.' Who ... needs an assault weapon? Like really, unless you're carrying out an assault. ... You can't hunt with it. ... Who's going to attack your house, a (expletive) army?"

So basically he's an 'actor' and is just repeating the script that's been put in front of him.  He knows nothing about the issue besides what the Brady Campaign tells him. He probably thinks one can really carry around a pair of machineguns and that they have no recoil.  Just like the blanks he fires in his movies.

CSGV: Freedom of Assembly = Terrorist Attack

Miguel finds another winner by the nitwits who run the CSGV FB feed. In this case they claim that calling on the Gov't to adhere to the Constitution and rule of law is the equivalent of terrorism.

Can you really have a intelligent conversation w/ people who hold this kind of mentality?

record level of applications. For the first month of 2013, 61,172
applications were received for processing, which far surpasses the previous

 Tens of thousands of new people are buying firearms.  Now (to paraphrase Uncle) if only those people will contact their legislators, join the NRA, SAF and ISRA we'ld smash any attempts at gun bans.

Why isn't this all over the news on every channel over and over?  Because it didn't happen all in one place and it's pretty much a daily occurrence there.

Chicago also has all the laws and more (effectively a gun free zone) that the anti-gun advocates are pushing for so they have to ignore it because it doesn't fit their talking points.

Glad To Be A Prepper

Power was out for 36 hours starting night before last. Now yeah, that's not a 'real' long time but when you're getting below freezing nights and you have an independent water supply, it makes a difference.

While there was no TV ( :) ) or Net (:( ), we were nice and toasty w/ plenty of food, water and light w/o even having to hook up the generator (a laborious process, working on improving it) or take any extreme measures. We had it all available.  Just like camping.

We were lucky, this is what happened to some neighbors of ours:



Just FYI, there used to be a 4th story to this building.

Crews worked night and day and night to get the power back on. W/ the recent rain, the dozens of cherry-pickers were buried axel deep in mud putting up the dozens of poles that were taken down by the wind sheer, being moved from place to place by tractors and back-hoes.

So DOOT is back up and I'll spend the next day or so catching up on things.
