And it's this type of violence enabling rhetoric that shows why groups like the CSGV cannot be reasoned with in any form of public discourse. Will they accept responsibility when one of their supporters commits an assault on an NRA board member or at the NRA offices? Of course not because they put out a 'disclaimer'.

Now watch, they'll start calling me a 'traitor' and 'insurrectionist' while trying intimidate me into silence by using my name and state of residence.

Righteous Bigotry

Got a response on Twitter to my *crickets* post attacking me for not giving the Anti's much time to respond and going after 'liberal media' of which I said nothing about. Took him most of a day to get off that tangent and then he tried to limit the conversation down to 'left wing shooters'.  Well since I didn't limit down to that topic either being that the CSGV runs their 'Insurrectionist Timeline' (aka 'Conservatives we don't like.com'), he again changed the topic while blaming me for being 'confused':

So I asked who was doing this 'encouraging'? What 'culture'?  etc. Here was the response:

And that's the reality. He's a bigot.  He stereotypes a particular group and then blames that group for cultural/social problems. Sound familiar?  Well that connection REALLY got him upset so he played the race card:

Nah, not gonna fall for that one.  Apparently he believes bigotry can only be against skin tone. So he decided to declare victory and walk away in a slurry of self-righteousness.

He certainly fits the pattern of a 'Gun Bigot'.

Listen To The Experts

From the head of the UK 'NRA' while sitting in a private club, effectively the only place you can own anything other than a shotgun:

 “They are fanatical,” says Mabbott. “Their main aim is to lobby for the protection of the Second Amendment, the right to bear arms. I once had to sit through a diatribe from their CEO and it made me physically ill.”
 The British NRA, which is not linked to the American organisation, adopts a much less inflammatory approach. People here use guns for three main things: hunting, pest control on farms and target or clay pigeon shooting, and Mabbott says his job is simply to ensure they can use their weapons safely, without hassle and within the law.

 And how'ld that work out for you sport? You had the majority of the personally owned firearms in the nation confiscated. 

But, on the other hand, the strict regulations have done nothing to stop the trade in illegal guns. The weapon Reeve used was, after all, a handgun, which no one has been allowed to own in this country since 1997 – not even the British Olympic pistol shooting team, which has to train in Switzerland.
And, a cruel irony this, gun crime has doubled since then...

 No mention that UK crime has always been historically low and they're on a frickin' ISLAND nation.

So yeah, let's listen to the 'experts' in the UK and follow their advice. It's been a wonderful experience for them. 

Clinical Denial

According to their latest tweets Fast and Furious was an NRA inspired occurrence and any connections to BATFE are inventions of Mike Vanderbough.

So they resort to their usual high level activism:

FRC Shooting. *Crickets* From Anti-Gun Groups

In almost every case of highly publisized shooting or attempted act of terrorism, anti-gun advocates immediately blame the 'right wing', NRA and 'inflammatory rhetoric'. When the story comes out differently, they get real quiet or ignore it entirely. I'm expecting the same here:

 A security guard at the Family Research Council headquarters in Washington, D.C., was shot in the arm by a gunman who sources said expressed disagreement with the conservative group's policy positions.

When we see antigun groups supporting violence and hate against firearm owners (who they associate w/ 'conservatives'), we see who the enablers are here.

Update: After several hours of calling their opponents 'right wing hacks', traitors, mentally unstable and sick, they finally comment on the FRC shooting.  It's the NRA's fault.

and then they change the subject instead of flooding their FB and twitter pages as they usually do.

UPDATE II:  And now that it's been confirmed it was against the FRC's political stance, not another mention.  If this were even rumored to be NRA involved or 'right wing', they would be tweeting up a storm demanding gun bans and action. But that doesn't fit the narrative.

Update III:  The benefit of doubt for motive is given.  

You won't see 'if' when it comes to claims against the other side of the fence. This is called CYOA as the blame shifts to the NRA which is apparently now a 'left-wing' organization. 

Funny since the CSGV calls for their political opponents to be tried and executed as 'traitors' and 'insurrectionists'.

Can they get any more inane?  Take a look at the comments, the answer is 'Yes'. Playing the race card, calling for removal of Freedom of Speech, and their favorite word, 'Sick', often repeating it multiple times for extra effect.

They're pushing to get 12k 'likes'. All they've managed to get are the hard-core anti-Republican flame warriors like what you see on Huffpo or other far left message boards. Outside of the direct political topics, the responses to their posts still don't get more than a handful of 'likes' or comments. Even their own people are seeing it:

 And they don't get it, being mesmerized by thinking lots of 'likes' is equivalent to effective activism. Well, never interrupt your enemy when they're making a mistake.

Abusing That Decayed Equine

Ya know, it's sometimes nice to see an 'authorized journalist' who has no idea what he's talking outside of some buzz phrases and technical terms he read somewhere admit that gun control is nothing more than a pipe dream. 

Background checks would not have prevented (names of scumbags redacted-ed.) from obtaining guns.
...none would likely have prevented any of the mass casualty shootings above.
 I flogged that dead horse after (scumbag names redacted-ed.)......I thought I'd flog a different one this time.

 But he wants more gun control anyway because it 'might' do something.
  Let's take a look at some of his genius ideas.

1. limit caliber size and powder amounts

Yeah, ok. He's heard the word 'caliber' and 'high velocity' in the same sentence before but doesn't know that .22lr and a scary 'assault weapon' caliber of .223 are only 3 thousandths of an inch different.  

2. limit magazine size

Oh, another vague talking point.  To what shall it be limited to? Why that particular number? Because some numbers are scarier than others.

3. restrict the amount of ammo that can be purchased

Why? Oh right, because he heard the scary number of 6,000 in relation to CO. Same for:

4.  and the amount of accumulative totals of ammo one can own.

Again, this is the 'booga booga' factor most gun control advocates rely on. He'ld crap himself if he knew that the amount I own is more than the above number and pales in comparison to dedicated shooters and enthusiasts.

5. require gun owners obtain liability insurance before purchasing a weapon.

Oh yeah because that would NEVER be abused and would NEVER be a way to keep the non-wealthy and connected from obtaining firearms.

These are the magical unicorn farts that 'might' do something, but we all know they wouldn't when enacted in real life.

And what does Ladd Everitt of the CSGV scream about?  A 'mass' shooting in TX. 

Even the only 'gun violence' they pretend to care about is that they can use to push their political agenda.

Chicago Sun-Times FishWrap

'Authorized Journalist' Carol Marin, while researching info for an anti-gun hit piece, loses control of a fully auto TEC-9 machine pistol 20+ years ago.

Her response?

Ban semi-autos.

Why? Because it is her opinion that an owner of a semi-auto firearm is just as incompetent/ignorant as she is. Nevermind the blatant dishonesty of using the same name for machine guns and semi's, the factual errors or the multiple emotional strings she tries to pull.

Todd Vandermyde, IL NRA Lobbyist said it best in his response:

If your opinion is that semi-automatic firearms should be banned – you’re entitled to it. What you are not entitled to is the yellow journalism of trying to paint a bad range experience with an illegal firearm as the deadly weapons being talked about in the legislation. If you want to know why most gun owners and NRA members don’t trust the media, it’s because of columns like yours. Columns that play of the anti-gun extremists agenda that was set out years ago by Josh Sugarman of the Violence Policy Center (VPC).

It's this kind of hack writing and outright dishonesty that keeps any sort of support for gun control outside of the foaming at the mouth fanatics.  'Journalists' (and I use the word loosely) like Marin through ignorance and/or deliberate deception mis-inform the public on this and countless other issues and people wonder why there is such head-desking levels of ignorance out there.

Her and her ilk need to find new careers.

Jesse Jackson Jr's FOID Card

It's well known among Illinois gun circles that anti-gun advocate Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (IL-2 D) has a FOID card and is a regular customer at a gun shop in the South Suburbs. Yes, double standards abound.

JJJ is also currently seeking mental health treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN for Bipolar Disorder. Hope he is feeling better but here's the crux of the matter, since he has now been in a mental health institution w/i the last five years, according to the FOID act, he is ineligible to possess a FOID card or firearms w/i this state:

(iv) He or she has not been a patient in a mental

institution within the past 5 years and he or she has not been adjudicated as a mental defective;

Note: this is for initially obtaining one.

So that begs the question (one of many):  Are the Illinois State Police going to revoke his FOID card as required by the act(sec8-e) or is he going to receive preferential treatment?

Update: here's sect 8E:

Sec. 8. The Department of State Police has authority to deny an application for or to revoke and seize a Firearm Owner's Identification Card previously issued under this Act only if the Department finds that the applicant or the person to whom such card was issued is or was at the time of issuance:

(e) A person who has been a patient of a mental institution within the past 5 years or has been adjudicated as a mental defective;

As a resident of Chicago (according to the IL State Board of Elections), are his firearms stored at his home?


If so, does he have a Chicago Firearms Permit and/or registrations and will they be revoked by the city?

If not, where are they stored? Elsewhere in Il or at his out of state residence while attending the Hill?

Since he has called for bans on handguns and semi-auto firearms, does he own any of the firearms he wants to deny others? 

I think these are all relevant and important questions to have answered.

And another issue is the response by the anti-gun groups like the ICHV or Brady Campaign.  They go on about keeping guns away from people w/ mental health issues.  Will they now be hypocrites now that one of their pet politicians falls under that category or will they call for him to dispose of his firearms?  What is Chicago Mayor and MAIG member Emanual going to say?  Will he call JJJ out or will he cover for him just like his predecessor Daley did for Alderman Mell?

I think we at least know the answers to those.
