A politician who promised on the campaign trail not to raise taxes is thinking about raising taxes to pay for a program most people don't want and will still bankrupt the country.
Next in the news, water is wet, bears crap in the woods, and the NEA spends lots of money on stupid crap.

I'd much rather see the NEA spend money on stupid crap (bear or otherwise) even at higher levels than they presently do than to continue watching the train wreck of spending being done by politicians more centrally placed within bureaucracy. Congress is giving drunken sailors a good name by comparison! It seems that they really do believe that all they need do to fix things is to order the Bureau of Engraving and Printing to make more money. Except that we don’t have “money.” We have “currency” thank you very much Dick Nixon.
