My thoughts on Holder

It's a done deal. That's my opinion.

I've written the letters but it's still a done deal.

As for the lack of active response by the gun groups, well, they know they'll get burned right now if they try. The Obamanation has the momentum. We're on the defensive. That's the reality. Get used to it. Digging in our heels at this point will just result in a political equivalent of the Maginot Line.

Let their momentum wear down, they extend their lines, and burn their own resources. People will start seeing that the Lightbringer doesn't walk on water and everything they thought he promised isn't .

Then we counter-attack.

We are the Militia

Think like Guerrillas

Think like Partisans

Think like Soldiers

They will over reach.

But I think Obama is smart enough to wait until after the next mass school shooting before they attack.

There will be another school shooting, they're praying for it.

I'm with you.

We're on the defensive, and will have to suck up a few bruises. But this is a new dawn, and there are new ways to go after anti gun legislature's.

I'm torn...

Do I write letters which I know will be ignored. In protesting a cabinet member that will be approved regardless?

Or...

Do I take a more unorthodox slicker approach. We have a fairly pro-gun Democrat Senator Bob Casey of PA.

So I am thinking of contacting him. And offering my vote if, and only if, he remains a bastion of 2nd Amendment support.

Yep. The problem is we've been on the defensive since '34 yet some people think that isn't the case.

Ditch the "think like soldiers" we've been taking orders from the NRA for too long. Think like winners or strategists or tacticians.

As I've stated before, I think we're better off with a SCOTUS win and Obama in the White House then if we were facing McCain in office with a SCOTUS loss.

After Obama starts gettin' jiggy wid it, we'll have to go back to court repeatedly.

So be it.

In the mean time, people are buying up all the "assault weapons" they can, boosting the fact that they are among the rising stars in popularity and cementing their status as "commonly owned".

"Think like winners or strategists or tacticians."

Bashing your head against a wall /= strategy.

"One should always look for a way to break the enemy’s will and capacity to resist in other ways, however. If a strongpoint can be passed, invested and reduced on our
terms it should be.
Gen. MacArthur bypassed some islands which were later evacuated by the Japanese themselves. This maneuver strategy was the major element of Gen. MacArthur’s blueprint for victory.

I disagree. I don't think political capital is conserved by being seen as being unwilling to fight the tough battle.

The NRA leadership, clearly, has a view considerably different from mine.

Not a new experience for either of us.
