Got the 1911 back from RIA yesterday. Cleaned it last night and took it out this afternoon. Several hedge apples met my wrath along w/ an old water heater.
I've heard great things about the Rock Island 1911s but as of yet I don't own one. I have a couple of Springfields and Kimbers, and a Dan Wesson Razorback, but really, I'm not a gun snob; those guns just turned up on my wish list first. I might end up getting a RIA before it's all said and done, though.
