Joyce Foundation Hack Wintemute at it Again (Updated)

Garen Wintemute, prolific sucker of the Joyce Foundation Teat, is taking a break from shooting upskirt photos at gun shows and instead is trying to trick FFL dealers into giving out information that can be selectively edited and used to smear the entire industry. You know. SOP for the gun control lobby.

I'ld lay money that the 'survey' does not include disclosure of who funds him or his past history. Pass this along to all your local FFL dealers and try and obtain a copy of the survey itself.

UPDATE: Survey is available through NSSF. Thanks to the fine folks at NRA-ILA for passing the link along to me.

Just as I suspected, the questions are geared towards promoting the gun control agenda by getting dealers to admit they're 'worried' about activities, enabling criminals or would support stricter laws.

I'm A Gun Owner Butt.....

Sometimes we're our own worst enemy. Indiana fixes a law that prevented you from even transporting a firearm in your car w/o a state permit. People freak out over media proclaiming it's CCW w/o a license.

Then the stupid hits:
People should have to have a permit to carry whether it's on your property or not. Even in your car unloaded," said Jennifer Scott, gun owner.
So she thinks a person needs state permission to carry a firearm on their own private property. Yeah. That will stop criminal activity.

From the Marion Chronicle Tribune (much more accurate):
An Indiana handgun license allows gun owners to carry their handguns openly and concealed. A permit is required to take a loaded handgun anywhere except if the handgun is kept at home or work.

Starting Friday, a person can also carry a handgun without a license: or in their vehicle if the weapon is unloaded, not easily accessible and securely wrapped. Or on someone else's property if they have permission to be there and are attending a firearms-related event or receiving services for their handgun. Or at a shooting range while attending firearms training or hunting legally.

Illinois Anti-gun Legislator Town Hall Meeting 6/29

Via ISRA:

ANTI-CONCEALED CARRY LEGISLATOR TO HOLD TOWN HALL MEETING THIS WEDNESDAY – YOU NEED TO BE THERE!

As most of you readers know, Concealed Carry failed by just a few votes in the House this spring. Many of the “NO” votes were the result of arm-twisting by the Daley-Emanuel Gun Grabbing Machine.

One of the state representatives who voted “NO” on Concealed Carry is having a town hall meeting this Wednesday night. He has invited the public to come to the town hall to express their ideas to him for next session.

Regardless of where you live, this is your opportunity to inform an anti-gun legislator of your disappointment that Concealed Carry failed to pass. Again, even though you may not live in this legislator’s district, your appearance at his town hall to object to his “NO” vote on concealed carry will send a message to all the other representatives who voted “NO.” That message is, “We will not be quiet on this issue – we will not rest until the law-abiding citizens of Illinois are allowed to protect themselves and their families from violent thugs.”

HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO HELP PASS CONCEALED CARRY DURING THE NEXT LEGISLATIVE SESSION:

  • Attend Rep. Keith Farnham’s town hall meeting and let the Representative know you are unhappy with his “NO” vote on Concealed Carry.
  • Please post this alert to any and all blogs or Internet bulletin boards to which you belong.
  • Please send this alert along to your friends and family, tell them to attend too.
HERE IS INFORMATION ON THE TOWN HALL – READ IT CAREFULLY AND PLEASE ATTEND:

WHAT: Town Hall Meeting – open to the public

WHO: Rep. Keith Farnham (voted “NO” on Concealed Carry)

WHEN: Wednesday, June 29, 2011, 7:00 PM

WHERE: Carpentersville Village Hall, 1200 L.W. Besinger Drive , Carpentersville, IL

REMEMBER – ONLY YOU CAN ENSURE THAT CONCEALED CARRY GETS PASSED. ATTEND THIS TOWN HALL – STAND UP AND BE COUNTED AS BEING ON THE SIDE OF WHAT’S RIGHT!

MA5A

Bloomberg's Mayors Against Illegal Guns has formally changed their name to Mayors Against the Fifth Amendment w/ the release of a video calling for the elimination of Due Process.

So this is a formal declaration that over 500 US mayors directly oppose the US Constitution in favor of Secret Gov't lists and Star Chamber courts. To achieve this they will continue to use fear mongering and Pants Sh!ttin Hysterics.

So who are the 'Insurrectionists' and 'Traitors' again?

IL Redistricting

Well the Jerrymandering is complete and the new districts will go into effect. I am losing both my US Rep. and my State Rep. Both long time holders of their seats and generally pro-gun so I'm going to have to pay close attention to the next local elections.

To see other changes, feel free to visit the state's disaster of a website.

Blago Guilty

There is some justice in Illinois as Impeached former IL Gov. Blagojevich and his hair were found guilty of 17/20 counts of corruption.

To paraphrase him "This is F*cking Golden and now he's got F*cking nothing!!"

Anti-Activities

While digging around yesterday for the Primer post, I came across some interesting tidbits of activity by the Joyce foundation and other groups.

IANSA has updated their members page and it is greatly pared down for the US. Notable is the removal of the CSGV from the list as well as the numerous state level groups combined into the SUPGV.

April saw another massive money dump from the Joyce Foundation:
$230K to the American College of Preventative Medicine to lobby for expanding the "National Violent Death Reporting System"
$60K to Joan Peterson's Citizens for a Safer Minnesota Education Fund.
$125K to the CSGV
$25K to the SUPGV
$75K to Ohio Coalition Against Gun Violence

Now these are the biggies:

$375K to the 'Police Executive Research Forum' "to conduct new research on gun violence and gun policy issues, host a national town hall meeting to present and discuss research findings, and to educate the public and policy makers about gun violence issues that impact the law enforcement community. "

And a total of $790K to NewVentureFund to "support the development and launch of a new online organization. "

So they are making pushes in MN and OH, trying to push the 'guns kill police' meme and are making a major investment into new media.

Visit from the Po-Po

I took a nap this afternoon after an exhausting period of reading HuffPo comments. Dreamed about cruise ships made out of cocoa butter and petite Asian women with huge…tracts of land.

Someone knocked on my door and I rolled out of bed and peeked out the window. It was the Fuzz, the Heat, the 5-0, the coppers.

I decided to shuffle past the .357 magnum and shotgun and ask what they wanted, unarmed. Man in Blue informed me they received a report of a group of youths being attacked by several dogs(yesterday) in the area and he was trying to find said dogs and the owner. Said one of the youths fired a shot at the dogs and wasn’t sure if he had hit the mark. Copper made a special point of telling me that people have every Right to shoot to kill aggressive animals. I think perhaps he thought I was the one who made the report. I wasn’t, but I did have a group of youths(12 to 15) come across my property yesterday to reach the swimming hole(the best for miles around).

They made a bunch of noise coming through, which I appreciate. The kids I worry about are the ones who stay quiet and try to sneak inside my domain. The ones who scream and laugh out loud as they enter the yard are the ones I want visiting.

The weather was barely warm enough for me to consider jumping in the snow melt, but the kids are hardier than I. They must have been the ones attacked by the dogs, and at least one of them was carrying a firearm and had the wits to use it.

In short, I had loud, boisterous and armed teenagers on my property while I was mincing garlic and baking a chocolate cake.

Good day.

Over Qualified.

Just for giggles, I contacted the few remaining employees at the Brady Bunch and asked for a job description/application for Paul’s position. They sounded a bit surprised that someone was actually interested and faxed me over a copy while I was still on the phone which I present to you here, unaltered.

Position: President of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence
Salary: $250,000/year with a 5 year commitment
Starting Date: July 9th, 2011

Job description: The Brady Campaign is the largest grass-roots organization working to prevent gun violence. Your role will be to lead a gaggle of unpaid and demoralized interns into the abyss while blowing unicorn farts up their saddened faces and humming the theme song to “Rocky.” You must inspire dozens of people by blogging twice a month and giving the occasional press conference to an empty room.

Required skills: Training will be provided but the ability to evacuate your bowels on demand and in public is an absolute must. Wiping your ass with the Constitution is a nice bonus.

Desired skills: The ability to tell outrageous lies while keeping a straight face. Again, training will be provided but you either have it or you don’t.

Location: Applicants must be willing to relocate to Washington DC. Non-cesspool areas are preferred.

Thank you for considering to join our big ball of fail.
