Ramblings

On the whole BLM, Nevada cow thing. 

OK, so this guy has a ranch and has his cows grazing on public land but hasn't been paying the grazing fees for something like 20 yrs and allegedly owes $1m in taxes/fees.  Sounds like he's trying to play the 'sovereign citizen' angle but on the other side the BLM/Harry Reid seem like they're intentionally driving ranchers out for their own benefit as Harry seems to have connections to Chinese land developers.  The excuse however being to save some desert tortoises of which a bunch have been euthanized anyway. 

So the BLM spends tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of dollars hiring people and sending in gear to round up this guys' cattle also allegedly causing thousands of dollars in damage to private property and destroying more tortoise homes.  Meanwhile, Al Sharpton, who owes close to $2m in taxes gets invited to the White House for fundraisers and Harry Reid ups the rhetoric war by calling supporters of the ranchers, many of whom are armed, 'Domestic Terrorists'.  A move either deliberately or stupidly done to inflame the issue even more. 

In Illinois, politicos are going on about how the state is billions in debt and we need to suck it up and accept more fee/tax increases along w/ deal w/ the tens of millions of dollars in cuts to school districts.  So let's earmark $100m for the Obama presidential library, normally funded through private donations and spend more millions pretty-fying the capitol building but not fix the elevators.

For a double dose of hypocrisy, Soros funded MediaMatters/ThinkProgress are touting the millions of dollars that Bloomberg is dumping to buy votes while decrying the millions spent by the Koch brothers to buy votes and, while demanding 'card check' voting (iow open ballot) for union organizing, have demanded secret ballots for their own employees over unionization.

We don't hate 'normal' gun owners, just the ones that own guns.

This Says It All...

The new lobbying group, called Everytown for Gun Safety, will encompass other gun control groups funded by Bloomberg, Mayors Against Illegal Guns and Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, the report said.

There is no "nationwide grassroots network on gun control in a direct challenge to the National Rifle Association" because each and every one of these groups are 'top down' without any real membership or support outside of Bloomie, the Joyce Foundation and their various puppets.  They're going to use Bloomie's money to pay for more lobbyists and buy more 'likes' on FB but there will not be any real 'grassroots' support or showings.

I've signed up 3 people for the NRA in the last month.  Real members, not just 'likes' on a FB page.  That's what makes the difference.

What Does The Parrot Say?

On the mass shootings that occurred in Chicago over the weekend...

"While Chicago continues to see reductions in crime and violence, there's obviously much more work to be done and we continue to be challenged by lax state and federal gun laws," Chicago Police spokesman Adam Collins said in a statement.

When the laws were 'stricter', crime was higher. They're having problems getting their stories straight:

"This week was a bad week," Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy said. "We've identified a number of gang factions that are now in conflict with each other that sparked up some of this violence. We are taking steps to intervene."

Maybe McCarthy needs to vent some frustration on more innocent streetlights. They're going to blame anything and anyone they can but it boils down to two things.  Violent criminals and and incompetent leadership of the CPD.

4 dead among at least 36 shot in Chicago in 36 hours 

  At least 36 people were shot in Chicago, four of them fatally, in as many hours over the weekend, with more than half of the shootings occurring over a half-day period stretching into early Sunday.

Not surprising.  All the gangbangers, thugs and other lowlife criminals have been holed up for most of the winter and when they emerge, they've got all that built up energy and desire for violence built up. So obviously the best way to release it is to shoot up their own neighborhoods. 

Licenses

If you've ever heard a 'gun control' advocate state that licensing, registration, training, and/or psych tests are needed for firearm owners because they 'might' be unstable, raise your hand.

Now raise your hand if you've ever heard one call for these same requirements for parents?

Yeah, next time ask them 'why not'?

7 Babies Found Dead in Utah Home; Woman Arrested

 Authorities obtained a search warrant to inspect the home, where they found six more infant bodies inside, packaged in separate containers, the police statement said.
 Roberts said that through their investigations, they had reason to believe that Huntsman had given birth to the six other babies in the period between 1996 and 2006 and murdered them.

3-Year-Old Dies After His Mother Leaves Him Home Alone for 20 Hours 

 Three-year-old Austin Davis died after his mom left him home alone for 20 hours.
 Not only did McKeon leave her son home alone for work, after work she went and stayed the night at her boyfriend's house. She left her son with food, juice, and a movie -- and thought everything would be just fine.
