Anti-gunners trot out the '74 school shootings' lie to try and ban gun shops in Niles, IL.

Because we all know that shooters regularly wait the 24/72 hr waiting periods then hike immediately over to a school.  This is nothing but fear mongering and the desire to ban guns anyway they can. I've said for years that they will try to eliminate gun shops through litigation and legislation and been called 'paranoid' and a 'conspiracy theorist' by the likes of Ladd Everitt.

This, and the continued actions by Chicago, just prove my point.

These people are completely and totally clueless of anything regarding firearms outside of 'guns r' bad mm'kay?"

As for the meeting itself, according to one poster on ISRA FB page, it was another typical rigged panel, telling the pro-gun people the decision would be shifted to July 7th meeting then allowing testimony by anti's after most pro-rights had left.

Now this one is going to be added to the statistics of 'children' being in 'accidents' w/ firearms and how we need 'safe storage' etc.  Here's the reality:

A 15-year-old boy accidentally shot himself in the foot this morning in the South Shore neighborhood, police said.
The boy was standing on the sidewalk in the 7600 block of South Coles Avenue when a gun he was holding discharged about 12:15 a.m., Police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.

Translation:  Gang-banging thug screwing around trying to act tough pulls the trigger giving him some stigmata. 

No CCW licenses, no FOID's, felons in possession, gang associations, drug deals gone bad.  THIS is the reality of most 'gun violence'.

Do we see a pattern on who's committing the overwhelming majority of crimes and who Rahmbo and his CPD toadies are blaming? 

$55 Million of IL Tax Dollars Flushed

Quinn uses $54.5 million dollars to buy Chicago votes w/ a 'We're doing something' 'anti-violence' thing that collapsed after two years that had more to do w/ embezzlement and paying criminals than actually reducing crime.

So Quinn's administration doubles down w/ one of his political appointees paying the Univ. of IL at Chicago another half million to do a 'study' that didn't actually study anything in a 'no bid contract' when they were offered a FREE study by the University of Chicago.  Unsurprisingly, Quinn's office is now trying to throw said appointee under the bus.

So when the politicians are screaming about having to raise taxes/fees or they're going to close schools and get rid of police, remember what they're really spending the money on. To line their own pockets and claim they're 'doing something'.

And THAT's why I will not support ANY increases.
