@CSGV Distorts "Guns on Campus" murder
Their Tweet:
Let's take a look at the article, shall we?
Where is the outright distortion? The shooting didn't occur on campus. It occurred in town, outside of the victims private residence and the suicide in a hotel room. Both off campus. So allowing or disallowing firearms ON CAMPUS wouldn't have effected this at all.
But that doesn't allow for much dancing in the blood of the victims to push their agenda, now does it?
Let's take a look at the article, shall we?
Benoit disclosed that she had struggled with bipolar disorder since she was in fifth grade and that she had “crazy times.” Benoit told Suarez that she felt “she’s awoken from a very crazy time” when she realized her relationship with Bustamante was not healthy. So the victim had mental disorders most of her life.
Benoit said she became intimate with Bustamante, who was her adviser, toward the end of the fall 2010 semester. Benoit said she “screwed up” the consensual relationship with the professor when she stole his medication. They were in a completely unethical relationship and she was a thief, stealing drugs. Her family was well aware of her issues:
They acknowledged she used marijuana and said they were aware Benoit had been charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia last year. She pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of disturbing the peace, according to records. She was also a drug user (always good for someone w/ mental issues, right?) and convicted criminal. Now on to the Professor.
Bustamante, who had been known to alternately refer to himself as a “psychopathic killer” and “the beast,” told his department chairman, Kenneth Locke, shortly after he was hired in 2007 that he took medication for bipolar disorder....So he was severely disturbed and off his medication. And how did he run his classes?
In an April 30 email, Bustamante, who also reportedly had multiple personality disorder, admitted to Locke that he was concerned about his mental state. He wrote, “I’m going through major withdrawals due to a lack of my main medication, and I’m struggling to even type this email.”
“He talked about shooting students, which was disturbing, and implied that he was (and we should be) drunk and high every other day,” said one student, who is not identified in the teaching evaluations. And what was the University's response?
Locke responded on May 1 that he assumed Bustamante had contacted his doctor and that he would have more medication soon. They knew he was dangerous and took precautions for themselves though:
University officials told the AP they did not tell police that Benoit said she had been threatened at gunpoint because she “did not want us to discuss the allegations in her complaint with police and we honored her wishes.”
On July 14, Suarez, of the human rights office, wrote Bustamante in advance of his July 19 meeting with her and Williams. In the email, Suarez tells Bustamante not to wear a jacket or bring any bags in which a weapon could be concealed. And what did they decide to do?
the university agreed to dismiss its investigation of Bustamante in exchange for his resignation. So they did NOTHING except try and pass the buck, even knowing he was unstable, psychotic and potentially dangerous. And the final result?
Three days later, Bustamante shot Benoit nearly a dozen times, then committed suicide in a hotel room. This line is classic:
The university acknowledged that certain items in the documents, including this student’s comment, were troublesome in hindsight.'Troublesome"? You've got to be sh!tting me.

Compare & Contrast: Political Donations
When the NRA, w/ 85%+ of it's money coming from it's 4 million + members nationwide, donates to a political campaign, it's lobbyists "buying votes" and "paying off politicians".
When Billionaire Mayor Michael Bloomberg, the individual who overruled city law to keep his office and started a gun control group funded exclusively by himself and the Joyce Foundation as well as several front groups, funds campaigns outside of his own state of New York to push his personal political agenda, it's a "contribution of people who support our values".

I'll Make Rev. Al Sharpton a Deal..
Sure, I'll support more gun laws for you, as soon as you have your congregation write the names of every family member and neighbor that belongs to a gang and has a gun hidden on a sheet of paper. Let me know when you're done and we'll hold a joint press conference to name names and start to really bring the cycle of violence to an end.
Sound good Rev?

Dennis Henigan's Intern Dances w/ Qualifiers
After dancing in the blood of the victims (mostly murdered in 'gun free zones'), Dennis' intern goes on to make some more claims loaded w/ qualifiers to make them sound good:
Oh right.
Really? What defines 'high income'? What nations were included? What happens when you compare 'violence' total?
Our rate of gun violence is nearly 20 times higher than in all other high-income nations combined.
Oh right.

Ceasefire Oregon 'Duh' Moment
On firearm collectors offering to purchase guns instead of them being destroyed:
So is she honestly that naive or is she being disingenuous because her political opponents were successful in partially thwarting her scheme?
“I think it’s political,” Julee(Ceasefire Oregon Educational Foundation board member) said. “I think it’s unfortunate that they feel they need to have an oppositional presence.”Like I said. Duh. Of course it's 'political' just like a 'gun turn in/buy back' is nothing more than a political PR ploy that has zero effect on crime. Just like your organization accepts money from the Joyce Foundation and is part of their network to push your political agenda in opposition to our civil rights.
So is she honestly that naive or is she being disingenuous because her political opponents were successful in partially thwarting her scheme?

Textbook Fudd
While 'Media Matters' does what they're paid to do by the Joyce Foundation, one of the comments shows just how gun control got passed. An alleged "lifelong hunter, shooter, and gun owner. " who is willing to throw millions of other firearm owners under the bus as long as he can use his 'huntin' guns (AKA 'Fudd'). Let's take a look at his statements:
This is the kind of person that IANSA touted when they were promoting the Australian gun bans and the people that made up the anti-gun front group American Hunters and Shooters Assoc. It is also why we refer to this type of person as a 'Fudd'. He's as ignorant and stupid as the cartoon character w/ no idea he's being used as a tool by the gun control fanatics w/ his selfish behavior.
What I would personally like to see is for the entire 2nd Amendment be applied. I specifically mean the part about a "well regulated militia".IOW, someone doesn't keep up w/ the news.
Such a militia would require gun owners to undergo training and submit to periodic inspections of their fitness and suitability to possess firearms.Since he's already proven he is ignorant, he would fail.
I would also support a move to adopt a policy, like many European countries, that forbids the unregulated private ownership of firearms or ammunition used by military forces.Kind of like Mexico does. Hope he likes hunting w. .22lr. since that Remington 700 (AKA the M24 Sniper Weapon System) uses 'military caliber' as do most of his 'huntin guns'.
Those men who adopted the 2nd Amendment could not imagine, in their darkest nightmares, the amount of firepower one person can carry using modern weapons.Even though several of them were scientists and inventors and created one of the most progressive governments known to man, none of them could ever have imagined technological advances.

IL Rep Joe Walsh: "Holder Should Resign"
Yes he should.
But until something gets connected directly to him or things get hairy enough that "O" decides he needs to be thrown under the bus, I don't think it's going to happen.

Those Racist Gun Shows?
Gun Control fanatics like to trot out the meme that gun shows are hotbeds of 'insurrectionist' and anti-semitic activity. They know this because they've gone to one or two and seen pallets of the 'Turner Diaries' and 'Nazi paraphernalia'.
I've been to dozens of gun shows in Illinois and made this comment back in '08:
Have I seen 'Nazi paraphernalia'? Yeah. Right next to all the other WWII antiques and re-enactment gear including US, Russian, Japanese, etc. I sell E. German and Chinese camo. I must be a proponent of Communism.
Is this kind of activity out there? Sure. W/o a doubt. There's nutballs in every element of society. But the only thing that they can do is make insinuations and take one or two 'damning' upskirt photos out of the many attendees.

Also talked to "The Book Guy", Roy Carey Jr. (cgabooks@verizon.net) Oddly enough, there was not a single copy of the Turner Diaries or the Protocols present so I asked him why. He told me that not only does he not carry books like that (along w. ones like the Anarchist Cookbook) but that the sponsors of the shows he attends (most of Il and the tri-state area) don't want them there either. Hmmm. That seems to fly in the face of PSH claims that lines are out the door at shows for materials like that.So I've never even SEEN a copy of the Turner Diaries at any local shows, never mind pallets of them being sold by the dozen. You can get it on Amazon though. Amazon must be run by the Klan.
