Bat or Gun?

Violent thug breaks into home of two women. One grabs a bat the other grabs a gun.  Thug grabs bat away from the woman and starts beating her w/ it.  Lady w/ gun starts ventilating him (although unfortunately not permanently).

Anti's would prefer them to have been beaten to death instead of defending themselves w/ a firearm.

A Non-Issue Gone Stupid

Mostly I stick w/ gun stuff but this one has really gotten my goat.  Recently there's been a sh!tstorm over an assignment in a HS Sociology class regarding who would receive dialysis treatment. 



Guess what?  This is a standard assignment type for an intro Psych/Soc. type class.  It's called Situational Ethics.  I did a similar assignment 25 yrs ago in HS except it was a fallout shelter and it is one of the ONLY assignments I remember so vividly because it generated so much discussion, debate and thought. (emotional vs practical etc.) It's got nothing to do w/ 'Death Panels', Common Core, or 'desensitizing youth'.

If you want to keep believing that though, I'll supply the vinegar for you to spray in the air to save you from Chemtrails.

I discovered a 'feature' on FB called 'other messages' I was unaware of which is basically a spam-trap.  I opened it up and found this particularly insightful message along w/ a number of others from the same person dating from last year (which is why I'm leaving out the name):

I never knew meaningful human life was an NRA statistic- next time read the fucking facts... and give me your number YOU FUCKING GUN TOTIING PILE OF SHIT. BACK THAT FUCKING SHIT UP YOU TALK IN YOUR GAY GOLF SHIT SHIRT!

What a wonderful person, isn't he?  Violent, bigoted (he mentions 'Polish stupid fucks' in another message) , articulate... Everything one looks for. 

Now what's even funnier is that this flood of love derived from something I said on the NG(V)AC FB page but I cannot find a single comment from our poet in response to me on their site.

Signs Make Gun Free Zones Safe.

No, not really.  Gangbanging thugs can't read doncha know.

Yesterday, in broad daylight,violent predatory thugs open fired on a group of people outside the Uptown Baptist Church, gathering for prayer and a free dinner.  Five people were struck by bullets in what is designated as a “Safe Passage” route for Chicago school children going to and from school.

This says it all:

Well-meaning social liberals who think putting up some silly yellow signs proclaiming “Safe Passage” zones does nothing to deter predatory criminals, just as a slew of gun laws that only disarm the good guys do nothing to slow violent crime.

All the while those same violent criminals are part of a revolving door 'justice' system where people spend more time in jail for having a joint than beating someone near death.

Hey I know, let's shove a small woman into a cell so hard she bashes her face against a concrete bench then walk away to let other (decent) officers deal w/ the problem.

A Two-fer Of Anti Stupidity

Josh Sugarmann says that the best way to protect women against domestic violence is to keep them disarmed and defenseless.

Josh Horwitz (aka Ladd Everitt) still tries to deny hundreds of firearms were stolen by authorities in New Orleans and then rambles on about 'conspiracy theories'. 

W/ the near defunct Brady Campaign also just putting out a Puffpo piece, I'm thinking electricity bills showed up and they're needing help.

Criminals break into a guy's home to steal his guns.  What they didn't know was his security camera (which they also eventually took) was streaming video to the home-owner. 

While anti-gun fanatics will blame the homeowner for owning guns in the first place, the local police have a great attitude:

“Anytime you have a situation like this, where there are weapons obviously in the wrong hands, it’s something we take very seriously,” Oklahoma City Police Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow told KWTV. “We want to get these guys caught, hopefully get these weapons recovered, and back to their rightful owner.”

Danny Gross of the Brady Campaign (Who?  Oh they used to be a big name player in politics)  pulls out the old 'NRA supports terrorism' canard. 

It's really sad.

First he starts w/ how his brother was killed in a gun free zone in a city w/ every law he wanted in place by an anti-semitic terrorist so he decided to try and restrict guns to everyone else.

You've got to love a 'gun owner' that uses 'polls' and 'surveys' bought and paid for by anti-gun advocates along w/ terms like 'packing' to prove his 'credentials'. That's just what Stu Bykofsky does in his op ed claiming that the NRA and its 5+ million members are 'alone'.

The 'Luntz' poll bought and paid for by Bloomberg's MAIG.

The Kellerman 'study' on about 150 selectively chosen FFL's that support background checks paid for by the Joyce Foundation.

Throw in some red herrings about his 'NRA friends', the Luntz group normally supporting Republicans and a few 'pro-gun' ideas just to try and make his creds stronger. 

Sorry Stu, you may own gun or two but you're not a 'gun owner'.  You're just a 'gun owner butt...' making excuses for why you don't like the NRA while ignoring the numerous other pro-rights groups you could be supporting and all the nonsense put out by the anti's.
