Bloomberg's Bizzaro World

During a radio interview, he made this comment:

 “I don’t think there’s anybody that’s defended the Second Amendment as much as I have,"

 This is the megalomaniac who has pushed for every kind of restriction one could think of including sending illegal sting operations into other states.

Should you really expect to have 'reasoned discourse' or a 'conversation' w/ someone so detached from reality?

A Tale of Two Presents

The other day I was helping w/ a gift party for underprivileged youth. One of my particular favorites opened up a package and his eyes lit up and he started exclaiming  "SOCKS!!! Thank you!!! I needed socks!!!". He was almost in tears when he opened up a new pair of shoes. The other kids were just as excited.  Shoes, coats, underwear, etc.   Even if it wasn't perfectly the right size, it was something clean, new and wearable.Made every minute I put into helping worth it.

Now compare that to a youth I encountered last weekend at the show. He asked his parents if they would buy him one of the army toy sets I sell. They said no but he hammed it up so much w/ the puppy dog eyes and pouty lip I couldn't help but laugh.  They started walking away and I went up to the dad and handed him one of the small sets and told him the act was worth it and to wish the boy a merry xmas from me.  The dad handed him the toy and the 'pouty face' turned pissed off as he whined "But I wanted the one w/ the TANK in it.".  I honestly wanted to slap him.

Some kids are worth every minute you can put into them.  Some need their priorities adjusted.

The Fudd Task Force

Unsurprisingly a Fudd has been chosen to head up the Democrats 'violence task force'.  The agenda is already in place.  Ban as many guns as possible.

 "There is absolutely no reason why people should have access to military-type assault weapons or assault magazines. They serve no sporting purpose, they aid criminals and they open the door to mass shootings like the one we're mourning in Newtown," Thompson said Monday

So there's not going to be any talk about mental health or improving security. It will exclusively be to try and get their pet gun laws in action even though every single one was in place in CT. They won't stop w/ semi-auto's either. Anyone who believes that is deliberately ignorant.

Rangers Lead The Way

US military to ban 'Assault Weapons' to limit 'gun deaths' on the battlefield.  *

 COL B. S. Talker from the Office of the Joint Chiefs told reporters, “there is no reason why our military needs weapons capable of firing 900 rounds per minute when our foes are stuck using archaic relics from the Cold War era.”...
 ..Talker elaborated, “essentially, continuing to improve military weapons only serves to escalate the level of violence in warfare. Since the advent of firearms there has been a tremendous growth in the amount of deaths on the battlefield. While we don’t hope to get rid of all firearms, it is our hope that limiting the amount of damage potential we can decrease the amount of deaths from firearms experienced during conflict.”

How The 'Conversation' Will Go

We've seen plenty of prime examples of the 'reasoned discourse' anti-gunners have spewed over the last few days. Generally they go like this:

This one is no different. A perfect example of the psychosis:

THESE PEOPLE ARE FUCKING YOU OVER. They are lying to you and trying to kill you and they are getting rich while doing it.

 What rationality there is buried in the article is totally overwhelmed by the hate, ignorance and blame that spews from every line. It really shows WHY the various CEO's act like 'shadows'. If they were more public, they would be the focus of all the violent, hate-filled projection that fills anti-gun activists like Drew Magary and Ladd Everitt, the ones that know what they would do w/ a gun if they had one.

So this is how the 'conversation' will go. They will insult us five ways to Sunday, demand we 'compromise' by supporting laws and restrictions that would not have changed a single thing, then insult us more when we tell them where they can stuff it.

We can pretty much ignore the 'activists' but need to double down on telling our legislators just what the word 'election' means should they choose to jump on the knee-jerk bandwagon. *

Update:  Unsurprisingly, DailyKos joins the hate fest and the 'discussion' makes my point. 

*And just for the Ladd Everitt's out there, 'election' means exactly that. Election. Unlike your supporters, I'm not calling for anyone's execution.

Coloseum Software's REALLY Bad Idea Update

Seems someone realized just how social media works. Their FB page is gone as of 7am.

Right now we're dealing w/ knee jerk reactions across the board.  Incidents like this does nothing but help the gun banners.

Just Say No to Coloseum Software Corp

A company that produces software for FFL's has decided they want to switchover to a new market. They think that a 'No Firearms Sale Day' is just the best idea to 'show solidarity' in protecting our families. 

IOW, they are asking FFL dealers to NOT use their software.

Fine w/ me. I think I'm going to check w/ all the local FFL's and make sure they're NOT using it.
