OGRE Designer's Edition
Well the Kickstarter event is over and the Gamer Geek in me took hold. W/ less than 30 min. left to spare I sponsored one of the custom sheets of vehicles for the new release of OGRE by SJ Games. It closed out at over $920K w/ over 5K sponsors, breaking several KS records.
Come Nov. 'Nihon Empire' units will be available through DOOT for the game. This, obviously is the reborn Japanese Empire revisiting claims and losses from earlier in their history.
Units are tentatively planned to be white w/ the rising sun logo.

If It Quacks Like A Duck..
Most of us have seen the Obama Campaign Slogan 'Forward' and even the CPUSA use it, stating "Forward to the future, not backward to the "good old days!". Using Communist era thinking and terminology seems to be a trend w/ supporters of the Lightbringer. Another recent tweet by our buddies at the CSGV:
Of course then there's the possibility that the synapses in their heads are actually starting to fire and they realize that they're not going to 'win' anything in the near future so HAVE to think 'long term'. How long do they think the Joyce sugar daddy will last though now that they're getting wrinkles and their chest is starting to sag?
"Never" is a big work in American politics, friend. 100, even 50, years from now, this country will look totally different. And what does the CPUSA say about that?
* Communists must focus on the long -term goals and not be distracted by short-term goalsSame type of propaganda. Same methodology. Is it really a surprise that they would have no problems w/ the rounding up of unreliable citizens if done 'properly , believe that those who disagree w/ the (current) gov't should be tried and executed, and regularly rewrite history to fit their agenda?

What They Left Out
The CSGV has updated their very selective 'Insurrectionist Timeline' which really should be renamed '"Right-Wingers" We Don't Like' Timeline. Take a look at their tweets:
What's missing from there? Oh right, the 'Occupy' associated Bridge Bombers and the NBPP calling for a 'Race War'. They must be like the SPLC and 'not be set up to cover the extreme left' or else they agree w/ it.

They Blinked Twice...
and it was gone. Uncle linked to the story of anti-gun hacks in Congress trying to score a few more political points off of the Martin/Zimmerman shooting.
They were basically told to stuff it. Now they can say they 'tried' but those icky, mean 'ol Republicans wouldn't let them. Maybe they'll try to sneak it in later but not likely during an election year and afterwards, the majority of the populace will have moved on. In fact they already have. The only one's still talking about it are the groups w/ a political agenda and people who still believe the edited version of the 911 call.
This has not been a good week for the PuSH'ers.

Inversion of Rights
Weer'd links to another CSGV endorsed article endorsing the elimination of Due Process. W/ all their alleged studies of the Founding Fathers, it seems they have missed Benjamin Franklin. He did NOT say:
That it is better 100 innocent persons should suffer than that one guilty Person should escape...What he actually said was:
That it is better 100 guilty Persons should escape than that one innocent Person should suffer, is a Maxim that has been long and generally approved. But PuSH'ers certainly seem to support the former as they keep proposing laws that effect criminals not in the slightest but target the innocent. But when you have them stating that "There is no such thing as a “law abiding citizen", defending spousal abusers and genocide, you really can't be surprised by anything they do.
DHS Rumor Control
Regular readers should know that I trust the Gov't about as far as I could throw the Nat'l Debt stacked in pennies but I like to keep things factual. When I hear/read a rumor, I like to track down it's source and get to the bottom of it. The latest rumor-mongering has been about the DHS militarizing. Something I don't doubt is happening but...
There are the reports of the DHS buying up to 450m rounds of ammo. As far as I can tell this is true and it's all .40 cal. Are DHS agents such monumentally bad shots they need this much training ammo? Just what is the DHS ammo budget anyway? I consider this pretty low on the 'hostile gov't' scale because there isn't going to be a nat'l takeover using .40 cal handguns. Now had it been (ed. almost all) .223 or .308 (or somesuch) I might get more twitchy.
The second rumor is about the DHS buying 2717 surplus MRAP's. These are mine resistant vehicles designed for use in Iraq. This one is a bit harder to track down. There are going to be thousands of surplus MRAP's but most will stay sitting in mothballs over in the Gulf. Digging deeper into it, the 2717 number comes from an upgrade that left that many chassis extra. I've found lots of sites w/ that number and some photos of a huge honking truck labeled DHS. Mostly the same photos. None an MRAP. If you notice, the highest number on any pictured vehicle is 10. Blogger 'Badtux' did quite a bit of research into procurement and found jack.
So just like the 'guns on your tax forms' and 'Soros owns Cerberus', focus on the real threats people, we don't need made up ones.

Ladd Everitt: Clinical
W/ Holder facing contempt charges by Congress, Ladd Everitt, Comm. Dir. of the CSGV has gone into full 'Bagdad Bob' mode. Apparently there is not any evidence that 'Fast and Furious' guns killed agent Terry Holder and Jaime Zapata or dozens if not hundreds of others. Holder's own admission, the Mexican AG' claim, dozens of news reports, none of it is real:
This is not a well mind and goes to show the reality of 'gun control'. No amount of evidence will distract them from their hatred of guns.
Everitt argued that he didn’t think there is “actual trace and ballistics evidence to prove that conclusively.”Of course this is the same individual who claimed the gun confiscations in NOLA didn't happen even when shown video evidence, defended a serial spousal abuser , endorsed gov't approved genocide, called for the imprisonment/execution of those who disagree w/ (current) gov't policies and believes that ANY 'violent' use of a weapon is immoral.
This is not a well mind and goes to show the reality of 'gun control'. No amount of evidence will distract them from their hatred of guns.

Typical Chi-Town Weekend
Ten people were shot between Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning on the city's South and West Sides, including a man who died this morning after being shot on the Lower West Side and a 12-year-old girl who survived a gunshot wound on the West Side Saturday night.
And just for when the PuSH'ers start going on about another child shot, remind them of this:
The girl's family didn't cooperate with the investigation, according to police. And we can all guess how many of these shootings were done w/ licensed and registered handguns, the system designed to keep women like this disarmed and open to attacks while the criminals (and politicians but I repeat myself) run rampant.
Through the 22nd of April, the most recently available stats, murders are up 59% compared to last year (153 to 96) and the Mayor is spending millions of tax dollars paying lawyers fighting in the courts and politicians to enter bills making you pay for his failure to control the city's crime.
Forget it Jake, it's Chi-town.
