Just two shots this week of anything but grass/weeds. One of a spotted faun (possibly the same one from last week) and yours truly tooling on by.

Why We Win
After two hours, marching and chanting in the sun, the demonstrators trickled away.Dedication. IGOLD has thousands of marchers that are in the Capitol the entire day then go home and many continue to work towards a unified goal. How many of these individuals will do anything else? One? Two maybe.
It all comes down to dedication. We have more truly dedicated than they do.
And then there's the pointlessness of marching in front of a gun shop. Why don't they go to where the crimes are being committed? Why not in front of the local gang leader/drug dealer's house? Oh, right. That might be dangerous. Much easier to blame the tool.
So I'll say it again:
"Sure, I'll support more gun laws for you, as soon as you and your supporters write the names of every family member and neighbor that belongs to a gang and has a gun hidden on this sheet of paper. Let me know when you're done and we'll hold a joint press conference to name names and start to really bring the cycle of violence to an end."

Quote of the Day
From reader 'Ken' in comments:
It's one thing to get people to answer yes to gun control on a poll; it's another to get people to put on jackboots and devote their lives to stomping on the faces of their fellow citizens. It requires a serious mental defect to actually hate millions of people and want to deny them their rights, often for reasons as ridiculous as "they have small penises."

Mark my words
I haven’t posted in awhile because I’m trying to figure out what the hell is going on. Helmke’s departure from the BC was the final clue that tied everything together. I predicted quite some time ago that the puppet masters would toss him under the bus and replace him with someone younger and less stupid. My guess was Colin Goddard back then and that may still prove true but, it goes deeper than that.
Something else is going on behind the scenes.
Rule #1 of trying to get inside the minds of those whose brains work totally opposite of your own is to look at what they say versus what they do. That’s easy enough for most to prove them hypocrites of the highest order.
The next step is to appreciate that what they say in public is a SEVERLY watered down version of what they talk about amongst themselves in private.
Many, many moons since Helmke said, “What we’re doing now isn’t working.”
Bit of an understatement but absolutely true and a rare window into their strategy.
The Brady Bunch is trying to adapt. After Helmke got his ass spanked by the screen door as he was leaving, he was asked about his greatest accomplishments and his greatest regrets.
He said his greatest accomplishment was that he had his face in the MSM a lot and that his greatest regret was that he failed to build a true grassroots movement to counter us.
My God, I love hearing the truth.
So here it is, folks.
The Brady Bunch will still throw everything at the wall to see what sticks; they just can’t help it. But, they are recognizing that the true power of the “ebil gun lobby” is our grass-roots support base who do all the crap we do in our spare time.
They will be investing their limited resources into trying to build a true grass-roots movement which can challenge us in passion.
MARK MY WORDS.
You will see it soon.

Top Shot Season 3 Premier on History Channel Aug 9 at 10/9c
Blatant plug for the show* which I enjoy:
*FCC info. The History Channel contacted me and asked me to post about the show. Since I enjoy it anyway, I have no problem doing that. I am also being compensated w/ some HC swag.
SHOW INFO: HISTORY's hit competition show is back with a gauntlet of all new
extreme challenges and eager marksmen ready for a shot at greatness. 16
competitors chosen from across the country vie for the $100,000 prize and
the title of TOP SHOT. A national revolver champion, two homeland security
agents, a former Navy SEAL, firearms instructors, a restaurant owner and a
camp director must demonstrate their skill using the most diverse weapons,
from state-of-the-art firearms to rocks. This season also stars some of the
biggest weapons ever featured on TOP SHOT such as the Gatling and Hotchkiss
Mountain Guns. Colby Donaldson returns as host for the competition that
takes a page from history.
The 14 marksmen and two markswomen were carefully selected from thousands of
applicants to participate in this season of TOP SHOT. The contestants
include a national revolver champion, two homeland security agents (who also
happen to be close friends), a former Navy SEAL, two cops, a nurse and
several firearms instructors. Two of the contestants, a restaurant owner and
Christian camp director, are self-taught.
The shooters will have to display mastery of weapons from all eras of human
history, from the most primitive (rocks) to the most sophisticated tactical
firearms. Contestants will employ some of the biggest munitions ever
featured on TOP SHOT, including the Gatling gun, the Hotchkiss mountain gun
and the CornerShot. In addition, they must endure extreme physical tests to
stay in the game. High-speed HD cameras capture the skillful execution of
each test in extreme slow-motion.
The premiere of season three begins with a gauntlet of extreme challenges.
16 marksmen immediately pair off and duel with one of the world¹s biggest
handguns. Teams are then divided into winners and losers before facing off
in a surprise military challenge. In the elimination challenge, two
competitors get the ride of their life on a horse-drawn stagecoach as they
shoot to stay in the competition.

Rep. McCarthy Dancing in Norwegian Blood
Never letting a tragedy go unexploited, Rep Carolyn "Shoulder thing that goes up" McCarthy is trying to use the Norwegian shooting tragedy to push for more firearm restrictions here. How? Allegedly he bought the magazines he used from here because they were cheaper.
Rep. McCarthy is an ignorant twit who will use any and every excuse to try and ban guns even when she has no clue what she's talking about. And she's fully supported by the ignorant twits in the anti-gun lobby.

Deadliest Warrior Season 3
So far the two episodes (Washington v Napoleon and William the Conqueror v Joan of Arc) have been really good. They've added in more 'X factors' instead of just the weapons along w/ some people who actually have a clue about the military. I also like that so far they've decreased the blood and gore element. S2 got stupid w/ the amount of blood packs they were sticking in the dummies. Next week is US Rangers v N. Korea Special forces which sounds pretty cool. I'm dreading the Zombies v Vampires episode though.

More Joyce Foundation Distortion & Lies
W/ a headline like this "Gun Lobby Distortion On U.S. Guns In Mexico Falls Apart" you'ld think there'ld be some pretty damning revelations. Instead we get the standard bait & switch tactics w/ the usual qualifiers:
submitted by Mexico to be tracedYeah. Still no mention of the other tens of thousands of guns NOT selectively submitted by the oh so honest Mexican gov't. But what else should you expect from a 'news' source that's paid to push a political agenda and their fellow puppets like the VPC as they act as apologists for the administration responsible for Fast and Furious?
