In all seriousness(or total satire), I’ve been mad busy the last 12 months sifting through PRISM data for my Uncle Steven. People might think all this crap is sooper top secret only visible to the highest echelons of the “intelligence community,” but the naked truth is that family members of those in positions of power can score some pretty sweet gigs and make a decent secondary income. I have a regular job, but coming home and getting paid to drink beer, listen to “private” telephone calls and read everyone’s else’s “private” emails is kind of intoxicating in itself. It’s already public knowledge that most of this information gathering is handled by third party contractors; what isn’t commonly known is that little old ladies trying to supplement their social security checks, college students trying to pay off their loans and bored nephews like me get paid to sift through this cesspool of phone sex, stupid cat videos and Amway chain letters in the comfort of their own home.

I mean, if you stop and really think about it, the interweb tubes are very very not small and there’s just no way to sift through all that crap WITHOUT us.

The guidelines are a little vague on what to report…for good reason. Most “evil doers” don’t come right out and announce their intentions; they use cryptic language, innuendos and code speak in their communications. Some of them are even clever enough to state right off the bat that everything that follows is satire.

So initially, I didn’t exactly have my pick of the bundle I was to review. A bundle is code for an association, or network or anything that has a formal structure. Lone Wolves are both an anomaly and rare. True threats exercise the power rooted in the organizational structure behind them. If you’re a social loser with no friends on Facebook, no friends on Skype and no friends in the meat world, then…well…noone cares about you so why should we?

Having said that, if you’re a social recluse and avoid unnecessary human contact, then we might just have a job opening for you.

It cuts both ways.

It took some doing but I finally convinced my handlers that the Brady Bunch, the VPC, CSGV, GNG, PEG and the gaggle of others are just front groups for the NRA, which is a potential threat to the powers that be.

What comes next will blow your mind...the internal "private" phone calls and emails of the antis. I have to be careful, but you need to know.

Gaming Goodness

Been picking up some odds and ends D&D modules over the last few months and w/ the re-casting of a number of SJ Games's OGRE Miniatures, it's enough for a post.

Like I've said before, I love the old modules from basic and 1st edition. Classic dungeon crawls and earning XP by finding gold.  These are in near mint condition so that was most cool to find.

Chicago Sending 'Pre-Crime' Letters

They're using 'social networking' to determine those most likely to commit a crime and are sending them letters warning them not to.

Working from a list of people deemed most likely to become shooters or victims, a Chicago Police commander is expected to start knocking on their doors Friday and deliver letters warning them not to commit any violent crimes.

Couple of points here:

1) They're assuming the 'most likelies' can read.

2) These letters will likely be used as a status symbol and actually increase their street cred.

3) Enter Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and other professional race baiters that will immediately start screaming profiling and racism especially since they'll need something to keep themselves in the news after the GZ/TM issue fizzles out from the media.

Should be interesting to watch.

I've read some complaints that some " dont remember the outrage when TIME put Timothy McVeigh on their cover. Wonder why."  Trying to incite more racism and deflect from the fact that RS is a piece of crap rag.  

Let's humor them though.  Here's the RS cover.  







Nice pretty picture of a handsome young man.  A 'Popular, Promising Student' who was driven to the dark side.  Just the right kind of image to make young girls swoon and people to feel sorry for him.

McVeigh in his jailhouse orange w/ a picture of a fireman carrying a dead child super-imposed.  No glorification/sexualization here. He's scum and he killed innocent people.  Never mind the fact that back in '95, there wasn't much of a 'net to convey outrage on.

So yeah, there is a difference and acting the apologist for RS just makes one look like an @ss trying to make a racial/political issue out of it.

No 'Workplace Safety Zones' at NRA Headquarters

or at their Annual Meetings (70K+ people), IGOLD rallies (8K), or 'Tea Party' rallies.

They were, however, needed at 'Occupy' sit-ins and now in the offices of Mayors Against Illegal Guns (MAIG) members. 

Sources within City Hall tell Fox News that one of the first directives from the newly hired chief operating officer asks Filner to avoid the appearance of impropriety by not putting himself in closed-door situations similar to what's been described in anonymous allegations of sexual harassment. 
This recent development comes as the City Council has asked for the creation of workplace safety zones for any worker who feels threatened in Filner's presence. 

I wonder why that is?

Reasonable, Common-Sense Gun Control

Anti-gun group states this:

we are not against someone defending themselves in situations.

When asked if a situation such as having your children being abducted in a park would be a 'situation', this was the response:

Depends on what kind of park, location in relation to law enforcement, what kind of gun, how Much ammo, population at any given time in the "park", etc.

So you're only allowed to defend yourself if the police are "X" minutes away, in certain parks while only 'Y" people are there and using only 'Z' rounds. 

I would love to see the legislation for this one. 

Ignorant and/or Liars in North Barrington, IL

So the Township of North Barrington, IL tried to pull a NY and hold an 'emergency session' to ban guns. :

Village officials are claiming justification to divert from the normal 48-hour required notice for the meeting because Friday, July 19 is the deadline for such action by Illinois municipalities and the board is unable to meet at any other time before then.

So an issue that's been on the news regularly for months and which the Gov. even manipulated the system to give these towns an extra month to do it and they 'just' managed to get in a meeting?

BS. They were afraid of the meeting being swamped by the real '90%' so they had to try and slip one by. 

It still failed.

This is gun control in action.

Chicago/Cook Cnty Bans Shotguns for Adults

If you're 18-20 in Cook County, IL, you can no longer legally buy or own a shotgun or any other type of long gun.

They redefine 'Minor' as anyone under 21 and then ban the sale and possession of any firearm (CAP law). (Item 23).

They're also giving $75K to Joyce Foundation anti-gun group ICHV to teach kids how to be anti-gun activists (Item 9):

Illinois Council Against Handgun Violence (ICAHV) proposal is creating an “Activist Institute,” and eight (8) week program that teaches youth how to advocate for legislation and other policy reform regarding gun violence prevention. 

This is the type of 'reasonable', 'common-sense' legislation that anti-gun activists support using your tax dollars.Yes Virginia, they are after your 'huntin' guns' as well as every other type of gun.

Chicago Police Chief Says People Are Stupid

Garry McCarthy said. "And 16 hours of training? And then telling somebody, ‘Here, go have at it.' There's not even a qualification involved. There's 16 hours of training. Do you know what 16 hours means? That's two days in school, right? Eight hours a day. That is not an adequate period of time to become proficient with a firearm. You probably can't even figure out how a gun works in that short a time, how to clean it! Let alone to learn how to use it."

So one can't even learn to clean a gun in 16 hrs?  What kind of people is the Chicago Police Dept. hiring if that's what he believes? Or is he just that contemptuous of the unwashed masses? And Sen. Butt Hurt Kotowski?  He thinks CCW holders should go through twice the amount of training as SWAT. Of course he also thinks people are going to be carrying multiple AR-15's in their pants.
