Chicago Tribune Bias UPDATE

Man successfully defends his property from a robbery using a .22 rifle. This is how the Trib describes it:

A man trying to steal a radiator from a South Chicago home was ambushed by a resident with a .22 caliber rifle early Monday morning, police said.

That poor man. 'Ambushed' by that mean ol' property owner while he was just rummaging through the yard looking for a gallon of milk for his grandma.

You'ld think they had an agenda or something.

UPDATE: As noted in the comments they've edited 'ambushed' to read 'surprised'. Their true feelings have already come out though.

A Map of Failure

Sebastian TBFKASIH points to a MotherJones map of all those horribly CCW laws and the 'successes' Anti's have had w/ a few PSH bits thrown in for flavor.

Outside of being a handy guide for CCW license holders as they travel, what this really is is a map of the failure of the gun control movement as 20 years ago most of those various dots wouldn't have been there.

They may slow down a new dot being placed from time to time none are being removed.

Well the Soros/Union/ACORN funded 'protesters' have discovered the fickle nature of the media and the public as most of them have been evicted from their 'homes'.

What was originally viewed as 'strong' and 'determined' is now being viewed as 'annoying' and 'interfering' as the number of crimes, hostile actions, and destruction of private property increased.

Now we get to see how many millions of tax dollars it will take to repair the various parks as well as how many tons of garbage and refuse they left behind for tax payer paid trash collectors to pick up.

The same sources say Bisbee obtained a concealed weapons permit from the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.

But wait a minute, Sacramento County is was a NO ISSUE county under the discriminatory laws of CA up until the last year or so, so how did the shooter get one?

Oh, he was a STATE LICENSED security guard. IOW, a state approved and trained 'Only One'.

But never let the facts get in the way of some good fear mongering, right Ladd?

GO IL Rep Tim Johnson!!!!

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Rep. Timothy V. Johnson is offering an amendment today to the National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act of 2011, which would extend to Illinois citizens the fundamental right to carry a concealed weapon under property permitting limitations.

The amendment would supersede the Illinois Legislature’s refusal to allow this right, which is enjoyed by citizens in all other states of the union.

“This legislation gives me the opportunity to correct a longstanding flaw in Illinois law,” Rep. Johnson said. “The right to bear arms is an individual American right expressed in the Constitution, not a right to be abridged at the whim of the state. Illinois is the only state in the Union that does not have a provision to allow citizens a conceal-carry permit. Finally, this amendment would correct that injustice.”

I was just about to email him urging his expected support for HR822. Now I just need to change it to thanking him.

Mouth Foaming Hysteria Over HR822

Carolyn 'Shoulder Thing That Goes Up' McCarthy sends this E-mail:

The Tea Party is bringing the outrageous "National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act" to the House floor tomorrow. It's an NRA-approved bill to let people with a permit from another state carry concealed weapons into your neighborhood – even if they have a criminal record.

Texas Governor Rick Perry shouldn't decide who can carry a gun in New York or any other state. Period.

That's why I need you to join me immediately. The Tea Partiers in Congress need to know that the people have spoken and that we don't want more concealed weapons on our streets.

Tell Congress to vote no on H.R. 822 immediately. Add your name and stand up to the NRA!

The Tea Partiers don't care about keeping communities safe – they just do what the NRA tells them to.

We've already contacted every Governor in the country, urging them to oppose this measure, but Congress isn't listening. Let's raise the volume.

It's already too late. The 'People' HAVE spoken. That's why over 40 states have 'Shall Issue' CCW or better. It's only a small minority that discriminate against their citizens anymore.

What effect did they have?

Thousands of people made there way through Yakima's gun show, some browsing, others buying some of the hundreds of guns up for sale at the Fairgrounds.

Outside of paid gun control advocates and criminal mayors, barely anyone cares.

No matter how many push-polls they come up w/, the proof is in the activity.

Weekend Wildlife

A beautiful and nice sized herd out this week. If it weren't for the bit of condensation on the lens when they were out, the shots would have been phenomenal.

Setting out a pork roast that had been left out and a couple of dead chickens to try and get some interesting shots for next week.
