A woman using a WiFi connection outside of a business (w/ permission) and Open Carrying is arrested for "loitering and prowling, and resisting or obstructing an officer". She just happens to have successfully sued the city for wrongful arrest last year.
No surprise when the Chief of Police issued this edict after a similar situation:
My message to my troops is if you see anybody carrying a gun on the streets of Milwaukee, we’ll put them on the ground, take the gun away and then decide whether you have a right to carry it.Sounds more like it was an arrest for "Contempt of Cop".

The "Qualified Immunity" crap really pisses me off.
If people could go and sue the Police Chief, he wouldn't have the protection of the taxpayers dollars to setttle these suits.
Florida has started the ball rolling with removing Qualified Immunity from preemption issues. Elected officials and towns quickly got in line and rolled over. It was proof to me that some of these asshat elected official hide behind these protections.
His troops? Who the hell does he think he is? Supreme commander of the european theater? It sounds like the citizens of Milwaukee should demand this asshat be fired. Surely they can do better.
I need some quick money - perhaps I could take a side trip over to Milwaukee and do some open carrying...
Applied for my WI CCW last week.
