Driving out businesses

and the ability to hire more friends and family seems to be the only real result of Cook County's plan to up the sales tax by 2%. That would make Chicago's sales tax 11%. What business in their right mind would even bother opening up or even staying there as they'll have to raise prices to cover not only this but the minimum wage increases (which are effectively cancelled out by this proposed tax increase anyway).

My prediction: This causes an economic depression in Chicago/Cook County. Combined w/ it being a sanctuary county for criminals , (both illegals and Daleycrats), more and more police being indicted for criminal actions, and the continued collapse of families, Chicago will again become a leading contender for the most violent city award.
