BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - Organizers have canceled a gun buyback at the request of Boulder County Sheriff Joe Pelle, who says Colorado's new gun laws would make it nearly impossible to comply. So to accept the firearms, traditionally junk or from little old ladies who are trying to get rid of their dead husband's collection, they would have to run a 4473 on each and every one, paying the state $10 and the dealer $10. Something they can't afford to do.
Pelle says a strict law that went into effect July 1 requires buyers to go to a licensed firearms dealer and undergo a background check.
That's karma biting you in the @ss right there.
