"It's about time someone took on the People of the Gun."

According to Laura Washington's latest screed.

Why is that Ms. Washington? Are you're saying that it's all those rural white men that are going into these predominantly urban black neighborhoods and selling drugs, shooting people, and starting riots?

Handguns are already banned in all the places you mentioned. Why are you blaming people in the lowest crime areas for Chicago's crime?

Maybe Burns et al should try taking on the gang-bangers, absent fathers, out of control police, and parents who don't send their kids to school.

As for the "handgun loophole", would you accept non-ffl access to the background check system? The Brady Campaign opposes that. Maybe opposition to the current attempted legislation is because it requires the sales to go through a dealer while at the same time individuals like you and Jesse Jackson support trying to sue dealers out of business and "shoving laws down their throats".

Saysuncle has more.

You'd think she would be tired of being proven wrong and having her words used against her, but yet here she is again, and she even uses "The People of the Gun" again.

I am really starting to wonder if that woman just enjoys the attention. I mean, the more she writes, the more we pay attention, and the more we comment on and link to her little dribbles of literary nonsense.

It is either that, or something has seriously come unihinged in her noggin.

Once again, just about everything she says is either systematically false, or just basic misdirection, and she wields it all like it was God's Word From On High. I do so love using Chicago as the basis for an argument supporting stronger firearm-control legislation... when handguns are already illegal within its borders.

As for the People of the Gun, I am quite certain that was completely intentional - now she is calling each of us out individually. Now she has faces to associate with her straw-man demons.
