Anti-gun 'Logic' from Lori O'neill

Lori O'Neill (AKA Gunsensus)states on the NY Appellate CourtViolating the Protection of Lawful Arms in Commerce Ruling:

 Any multiple sale of handguns requires a multiple sale form go to ATF and the police department in whose jurisdiction the sale occurred. Question is what happens then? Do police or ATF act on multiple sales reports, especially those that indicate the same person or people are making bulk purchases frequently?  

So the police/ATF drop the ball on obvious straw purchasers and a dealer who was doing the selling.  Her solution?

The state should limit the number of handguns a person can purchase in a single transaction, she said. And all federally licensed gun dealers and employees should be required to undergo training on recognizing straw purchases

So we need MORE laws that won't be enforced and violators prosecuted. And obviously we need to sue the manufacturers and distributors because a dealer (who the ATF also didn't charge and made excuses for not doing so) is an idiot. 

The goal of the groups she belongs to is to require all sale to go through dealers and sue the manufacturers/distributors/dealers out of business. No new guns and no legal transfers so all legally owned ones would eventually have to be turned in/confiscated. Any attempt to deny this is just deliberate dishonesty and ignorance of all their actions to date.

Well that's strikingly similar to a conversation I had w/ one of their board members Lori O'neill as 'Gunsensus'. They have no idea that the NRA HQ has a on site firearm range. They also just 'assume' that the NRA conventions don't allow CCW. Nevermind the fact that I carried at the '08 and '09 conventions and it was lawful at the '11 convention in PA. The only one for the last 4 years where it wasn't allowed was in NC and that was due to state law, not because of the 'NRA'.

So just another 'fact' completely made up by the anti-rights cultists. As if 'facts' mattered to them at all, only getting rid of guns.

Here's a hint Lori, the 'boycott' is not 'gaining momentum', it's dead and has been from the start (just like last time). On the other hand, your boss paid for my Starbucks and some evil assault ammo. We have evidence, facts and (verifiable) numbers behind us. You have dick jokes.

Telling, isn't it? Male, female, it doesn't matter. They are obsessed w/ our genitalia. And these aren't quotes for 20+ years ago like Ladd likes to use on his 'MeettheNRA' site, this was yesterday and today. These are the people that DEMAND we accept their 'reasonable, common-sense' solutions to 'gun violence' (in reality 'gun ownership) while they are unable to get their minds out of our pants.

Does that make any 'common sense' to you?

Unverifiable 'Facts'

The NGVAC put up a blog post w/ this claim:

sales to criminals represent 25% of the Gun Industry’s annual sales. (Source: Expert witness report filed as part of the 1999 NAACP lawsuit vs. the Gun Industry.)

Yeah, OK.

Unsurprisingly 'Gunsensus' made the same claim a few hours later on Twitter. So I called her on it. Here was the response:

Yep, that's pretty much it. Sometimes you can't share legal documents publicly. Sorry.

How convenient. The 'lawsuit' was dismissed nearly 10 years ago. Reminds me of the 'super secret' AHSA Amici Brief in McDonald. We all know though that they will continue to repeat this 'fact' no matter how ridiculous it is and w/o providing any supporting evidence for it whatsoever.

At the same time, Ladd Everitt of the CSGV claims that there's no way to know the number of sales because the NRA/NSSF are 'hiding' the data. Another 'fact'.

This is all they have left.

It's (Not) a 'GrassRoots Movement' Charlie Brown

Really it is. Let's take a look a Lori O'Neill, anti-gun activist from Ohio.

She served as president of the Cleveland chapter of MMM for two years and as vice president for two years.

Now she's the 'Vice Chairman' of the NGVAC, an astroturf group primarily made up of Brady board members.

She's also the 'spokesperson' for another 'group' that seems to only exist on Twitter called 'Gunsensus', of which David Codrea covered last year, which regularly makes up 'facts' .

In this op-ed, she claims to be a 'gun owner' looking to 'generate consensus' on gun laws. Yet she also opposes concealed carry and, one would guess through her connections to the Brady Campaign, 'assault weapons' along w/ supporting the full range of their 'reasonable, common-sense' measures, which comes across when she posts, especially in her attacks against Journalist Emily Miller during Ms. Miller's long journey to obtain a firearm in DC.

There is no 'grassroots' for gun control anymore. It's made up of a few die-hard fanatics and funded primarily by Bloomberg and the Joyce Foundation. These fanatics have proven to be nasty, foul individuals w/ no integrity, ethics or morals in their drive to restrict and ban firearms.

And these are their spokespersons.

@CSGV: No Shame, No Integrity, No Ethics

Sebastian TBFKASIH talks about the smear piece Ladd Everitt does on journalist Emily Miller because she dares complain about the fact it's taken her months to obtain a firearm in DC. Well Ladd and his supporters don't stop there, they also delve into criminal activity and mysoginism by using copyrighted photos from Oleg Volk (who has sent a cease and desist letter) and Ms. Miller apparently believing it's OK to break one law to push for another. A vehement anti-gun activist and CSGV supporter going by the handle @gunsensus says this about Ms. Miller having a photo taken w/ guns:
