Americans are in the midst of a gun violence epidemic. The National Emergencies Act gives the president the power and responsibility to declare a state of emergency when the government lacks the procedures and capacity to address an unchecked natural or man-made public health epidemic.

Yep.  Give the president discretion to arrest and imprison firearm owners and other 'undesirables'.  You know, those untermenschen that don't follow the whims of a tyrant.  No more due process, no more warrants.  Just what the anti-gun fanatics want for firearm owners.

Elliot Fineman Hates Guns & Tax Forms

Well we know that any sort of firearm (or attempts at logic) are anathema to Elliot and the NGAC.

Apparently so is filing the proper tax forms to maintain themselves.

"This organization's exempt status was automatically revoked by the IRS for failure to file a Form 990, 990-EZ, 990-N, or 990-PF for 3 consecutive years. Further investigation and due diligence are warranted."

They are also allegedly refusing to provide tax documents via requests as required by law.

Isn't that just special? They can't even file a simple tax form yet they want reams of more gov't intervention, registration, and bureaucratic requirements from others.

Elliot Fineman : Target Shooters are Terrorists

Even though he runs a 'D' list anti-gun group, he's still a fount of posts. From the same guy who stated that jaywalking is morally equivalent to serial murder/rape comes this dredged up topic:

Along with its partners, NGVAC is now calling for a legislative ban of TrackingPoint firearms and any other guns that use smart scopes from the civilian market.
“A no-skill, can’t miss weapon that will kill from 1,200 yards away? Insurrectionists, terrorists and hate groups thank you, TrackingPoint,” NGVAC said on its website.

Yep.  Fancy, hyper-expensive scopes are only for terrorists.  This is similar to Josh Sugarmann's VPC calling for all scopes, stands, etc to be banned as 'sniper weapon accessories'.

Now if you think about it, this is what THEY imagine that the guns will be used for.  Certainly telling as to their mentality.

That's what they called the ISRA's ED Richard Pearson for not giving them the time of day on their radio program. Now the ISRA has about as many actual, dues paying members as the NGAC has 'likes' that they bought through their FB page. 

They then posted a link on the ISRA's FB page to try and get some attention, desperately needed by what is effectively a non-entity filled w/ C and D list anti-gunnner names.

So I challenge the real cowards at the NGAC.  Unban all the countless pro-rights activists who have not made any threats against you so we can discuss things.  That's what you want, right?

Elliot Fineman: Firearm Raffle = Murdering Firefighters

Lockport IL IAFF Local 1544 is raffling off some guns to raise money for the firehouse and a local food pantry. All winners must go through an FFL and background check.  Apparently that's not enough.

The nutballs at the NGAC have likened that directly to arson and murder. 

This week Oregon City police said an 88-year-old man set fire to his house as a lure and fatally shot a volunteer reserve police officer. Last Christmas Eve, a convicted felon in Webster, NY set fire to his house and shot four firefighters, two fatally. Four days later an Alabama man lured and shot at firefighters and in March an arsonist/gunman in Herkimer, NY did the same thing. Undaunted by links between arson and gun violence, you raffled off 12 guns this year to raise money. The grand prize is a Smith and Wesson AR-15 assault rifle. What?

The ICHV claims it will result in more 'accidents and suicides'.  Can there be any 'discussion' or 'compromise' w/ people who are inherently opposed to ALL firearm ownership no matter their PC claims to the contrary?

Or whoever it is running the NGAC FB page since they seem to be keeping Elliot out of the spotlight following some pretty disastrous interviews.

After years of calling them on their lies/nonsense and showing just how ignorant their supporters are, they went and banned me.  I guess the 'final straw' was remarking on this comment (which has been left up):

So this is what the NGAC endorses w/ their supporters.  Gun control is a mental condition.

Update:  Unsurprisingly, I'm not the only one.  A number of other pro-rights commenters have been blocked/banned and countless posts removed.  Yet more like the one above remain. They are in full RD mode.

Yeah, all those bits about not opposing firearm ownership for 'legitimate purposes' like hunting?  Yeah. Big surprise, eh?

Anything relating to guns is 'fair game' to them in their quest for citizen disarmament.

Striking a Nerve

Elliot Fineman and his motley group of 'C' list PuSH'ers have a slow learning curve when it comes to interacting w/ pro-rights advocates.  In order to defend against the fact that US crime is down, they brought up the international comparison canard:

Ah.  'Developed'.  So I asked them what that meant, knowing they couldn't answer.  I got 'the list':

All but one a primarily white, European based nation.  Well they got called to task on that and responded w/ another 'list', but still no evidence.

Now most of those nations are 'developed', 'Democratic' yet have much higher crime (including gun crime) than the US and often stricter laws.  So according to Elliot's mob, only White, Democratic countries can have low violence w/ 'effective gun laws' (if you ignore Russia and most of E. Europe). When called on that they got a mite upset:

So when their racist, bigoted meme falls flat, they resort to more character attacks, nonsense statements, stereotypes and ad hominems.  And these are the people that keep demanding we have a 'conversation'.

They later tried to use some stats to 'prove' their point, but all they did was prove they don't know how to use statistics.  They posted a map of US cities compared to a bunch of foreign nations.  I kid you not.






Well all that shows is no correlation of firearm laws in the US to crime. Take a look at Baltimore, MD.
Here's the source data for their international numbers.  Note that when it comes to the rates and %'s of 'gun homicides', most of the map goes neutral as they don't actually have the info. Even the numbers they do have (Brazil, most of Northern South America and Central America) completely destroy their myth.
