Anyone know why why can't use rifles? I've been itching to use my new Browning BAR Mark II. I stocked up on ammo by buying bulk from Sportsman's Guide and I can't stand it just sitting around anymore.

Do the kids still get off school for deer season?
Officially no but there are always LOTS of absences among students and teachers.
Rifles or slug guns?
Slug. No rifle hunting in Illinois.

OK, I remember that from my growing up in Illinois. Wasn't sure if it had maybe changed to allow rifles in rural areas.
