SKS's Now Registerable in Chicago

The Denial by the Chicago Police Department of David Lawson’s registration of the subject four SKS Rifles is REVERSED. The subject rifles are not prohibited under the Municipal Code of Chicago, 8-20-170, and therefore, registration certification shall issue accordingly. Pursuant to Section 2-14-102 of the Chicago Municipal Code, this decision is final and subject to review under the Illinois Administrative Review Act.
Many thanks to David Lawson, one of the litigants in McDonald v Chicago and one of the most active pro-rights individuals in the nation.

This leaves me oddly kinda sad that Daley is no longer in office. If he were, we would be assured the amusement of an apoplectic press conference. Rahm is no less anti-gun, but I don't think we can count on nearly as many guffaws from him.

Yeah, he's no fun at all.

That is, by the way, not to take anything away from what you accomplished, David. Very well done.

First off, a hearty congrats on a battle well fought. However, I'm saddened that you have to fight this kind of battle at all.
