Breaking the Law to 'Protect' Us

So how do proponents of gun control lobby against a bill when they have no support whatsoever?

By any means necessary
.

In this instance, some 'Only Ones', trying to revive the 'blood in the streets' meme over the (recently passed failed) measure to allow open carry in Florida, dug into their records and used photographs of scary looking bikers w/ CCW licenses to try and convince legislators to vote against the bill.

So this actually has two issues. One is the absolute apoplectic fits Anti's have regarding anything relating to firearms and the lengths they will go to to lie, smear, libel and demonize firearm owners.

The other is that the police, w/ all the training, responsibility and authority given to them, are human beings. They, like everyone else, screw up. But when they screw up, they violate the trust put in them and damage the very foundation of what they're supposed to be upholding.

And they should be held accountable.

I am in law enforcement in the Orlando area. In 1995 I had the opportunity to work with then Lieutenant Jerry Demmings when he was with the Orlando Police Department. The man was a box of rocks! Unintelligent and almost unintelligable. I was so glad when my contact with him was over.

"Outlaw bikers"? Not outlaw enough to be denied CCW's, so what makes them "outlaws"? Parking tickets? Littering? Jaywalking?

Point of order: The open carry bill was defeated, not passed.

"did not know". What happened to ignorance of the law is not excuse? Especially to those that are supposed to uphold it.
