Another 'Gun Control' Failure

Gun control advocates really need to pay attention to WHERE these crimes are being committed before hyping them up in their attempts to demonize firearm owners.

Massachusetts. A highly restrictive 'May Issue' state. #3 on the Brady Scorecard w/:
"strong gun laws that help combat the illegal gun market, prevent the sale of most guns without background checks and reduce risks to children according to the Brady Campaign. "
Full handgun licensing and registration. Standard capacity magazine restrictions. 'Assault Weapon" bans.

How are those working out?

Has Lott ever compared the rate of violent criminals holding may-issued CCWs vs shall-issued CCWs? I would think criminal permitholders who obtain them by bribery are more violent, per capita.

Considering that the guy used a shotgun, why is the permit even a relevant fact?

Also note that an "LTC" while standing for "License To Carry" does NOT necessarily mean you CAN carry. For my first 5 years living in Massachusetts I have an LTC A (the highest permit that entitled me to buy and own any firearm legal in Massachusetts) but it was stamped under the "Restrictions" box: "Target and Hunting Only". Which means outside my home the gun needed to be unloaded and locked at all times, unless I was on private property where I had expressed permission from the owner to handle firearms. (ie a friend's house or a gun club)

Brighton is a neighborhood in Boston where unless you are politically connected you CANNOT get an unrestricted LTC (AKA A Massachusetts carry permit)

This guy couldn't carry anyway, but they're stupid.

Markie Marxist sez: "Obviously, they're working fine. They're screwing law-abiding, private gun owners out of their rights, while having no effect on our Marxist/warrior/hero/criminals. We commies are very happy with that, and that's why we'll never have any plans to change the gun laws in Marxachusetts, except to make them worse for law-abiding, private gun owners."
