Lawsuit Against IL Carry Ban

Since we are officially the last state to have no form of legal carry whatsoever (unless you're a Chicago Alderman) and the Chicago-crats have seen fit to deny us our rights, it's time to continue it w/ the Jury Box. Shepard v Madigan was filed today in the US District Court for S. IL.
Illinois’s 720 ILCS 5/24-1 (the “Unlawful Use of Weapons” law) and 720 ILCS 5/24-1.6 (the “Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon” law) constitute a complete ban on the public carrying of firearms by law abiding citizens otherwise qualified to possess them in Illinois.
The effect of the Unlawful and Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon law (the “Weapons Laws”) is, at a bare minimum, a plain violation of Plaintiffs’ Second Amendment rights. The harmful effects of this ban are severe, and its immediate forestallment imperative.
They want to play hardball, OK, let's play hardball.

The 'Gun Lobby' would like to thank Mayor Emanuel and the City of Chicago for helping further the restoration of the Second Amendment to the Constitution.

Just a quick correction. The case was filed weeks ago. What was filed today was a Motion for A Preliminary Injunction based upon the 7th Circuit's ruling in Ezell v. Chicago.

The Second Amendment Foundation filed a similar motion yesterday in their case against Illinois, Moore v. Madigan.

That's hardball! No fight over legislation, just a straight up, sock on the jaw, lawsuit against Illinois for refusing any carry at all. Wow!
No wonder Helmkoot's out of a job! :)
