"300"?

No Spartans these.

No Lawyers reports on a 'Large' (according to Ladd Everitt ) protest outside a PA gun shop Saturday.

HGC claims between this and another protest on Saturday there were over 300 attendees:
Thank you to everyone who participated in this weekend's Philadelphia events -- the Good Friday Vigil at Delia's Gun Shop in Tacony and Holy Saturday Vigil at Mike's & Kate's Sport Shop in Burholme. Between the two events we welcomed 300 people witnessing to the power of prayer and determination to bring an end to gun violence!
Let's take a look at the Sat. photo:

So unless over 250 people were at the Friday demonstration (doubtful, especially considering no media presence that we've seen), methinks they were exaggerating just a bit (ie lying) or they were counting people who happened to walk by as 'supporters.

John makes the same comparison I did to a PEGhead protest last year. Where are their numbers? This is 'large' to them? Our coffee meets and phone conferences are larger.

Since they're protesting Delia's, too, I think it should be pointed out that it sounds as if, in a "Gunwalkeresque" twist, the BATFE has pressured Delia's into selling to known straw purchasers:

Delia said the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) sometimes tells him to keep selling to known straw purchasers so that they can be caught in the act. He complies because he's confident the ATF is keeping a close eye on these people the entire time.

He'd better have something in writing from the ATF or he may find himself in big trouble.

And I wouldn't be so confident that the ATF is watching the straw purchasers at all.

If Mr. Delia has been following "Project Gunwalker" at all, I fervently hope he has lost that confidence.

And, yeah--they'll stab him in the back in a heartbeat, if they see that as being to their advantage.

I once spoke with the owner of a gun store who related an incident whereby a customer, seemingly on drugs, came in and wanted to buy ten Glocks. "Just ten Glocks, c'mon bro I jus' need ten Glocks!" He refused the sale and reported the incident to ATF. They admonished him for his refusal and said he should have made the sale and then reported the incident.

Personally I think he made the correct decision.
