Why Are Famous Gun Control Activists So Violent?

I always love when 'stars' play the "Don't you know who I am?"  card when caught breaking the law.  This time it was Alec Baldwin, anti-gun activist and all around stable individual.

New York (CNN) -- Actor Alec Baldwin was arrested Tuesday and issued two summonses -- one for disorderly conduct -- after riding a bicycle the wrong way on a New York street, police said.

The "30 Rock" star allegedly became angry and started yelling at police after they asked him for identification to give him a summons, police said. The other summons was for riding a bike against the flow of traffic. Baldwin is to appear in court July 24.

 Once in custody, Baldwin was taken to a nearby precinct, where he reportedly asked the desk supervisor: "How old are these officers, that they don't know who I am?" according to a law enforcement official.

Admittedly paparazzi are trash but take a look at the expression Alec has on his face.  No wonder he's anti-gun (for those lowly proles at least), he knows what he would do w/ one.

But here's the part that gave me giggles:

"New York City is a mismanaged carnival of stupidity that is desperate for revenue and anxious to criminalize behavior once thought benign."

You mean like owning a gun Alec?  You mean that 'carnival of stupidity' run and operated by the same authorities you want to give MORE authority to in relation to your flash-in-the-pan crusade?   But only when those 'criminalized behaviors' inconvenience you is what you really mean.

Illinois hasn't put out a Uniform Crime Report in years after being in non-compliance w/ FBI standards and Chicago's numbers have proven to be suspect.

Rep. John Conyers Is Going Away

Seems after all these years of being an anti-gun legislator, he forgot that the rules for running for office still apply.

Authorities say Conyers was 400 signatures short of having enough to qualify to run for re-election. Many of the signatures were thrown out because some of his signature-gatherers were not registered to vote in Michigan as required by law.

Guess all the corpses in Detroit will have to find someone else to vote for this season.

Media Creating More Victims

Started reading an article on an unsuccessful home invasion, iow the homeowner ventilated the goblin, and was thinking it would make a nice post. 

Then I kept reading. 

Throughout the one page article, they not only give out the victim's full address, but also how to find it, a description on how isolated the property is, a picture of the house, a google map, AND the fact that the house is empty while the victim is staying at a relative's house.  All that's missing are floor plans and his SS#.

I won't be linking to the story. And the idiots who published this should be held accountable for anything further that happens to the house.

Mom's Demand Action Lie To Ban Guns

Remember that whole 'Jack-in-the-Box' debacle a few days ago where it was claimed 'employees hid in the freezer' while gun nuts rampaged through the store but photos showed people just calmly going about their business?  That meme (sans the photos of course) spread across the internet to 'prove' just how dangerous gun owners are.

Turns out it was complete and utter BS, just like people who read past the headlines said:


From another article, it wasn't even a store employee that called but 'someone who saw the protesters walking to the restaurant'.  Likely a SWAT'tting.

JITB responded to the lie exactly how Shannon Watts wanted them to, by giving a vague statement allegedly banning guns.

The only way 'gun control' can succeed is through deception, lies, and threats. 

'Streetlight' Mccarthy Doing His Job In Chicago

 Last night in Chicago:

At least 15 people... were wounded in shootings in Chicago between Thursday afternoon and early Friday morning, authorities said.
... and no one was in custody in connection with any of the incidents as of 6:30 a.m.

Yet at LEAST one officer plus his staff is being paid to investigate and shut down a blog dedicated to rooting out corruption and incompetence among the CPD.

Priorities.

False Narratives

DEATH!!!111!!!  DESTRUCTION!!!!!!  MURDERS IN CARLOAD LOTS!!11111!!! CRIME RAMPANT!!!!111!! ELEVENTY

These are the headlines we're seeing.  Problem is, it's not particularly true:

Compared with 1993, the peak of U.S. gun homicide s , the firearm homicide rate was 49% lower in 2010, and there were fewer deaths, even though the nation’s population grew. The victimization rate for other violent crimes with a firearm — assaults, robberies and sex crimes — was 75 % lower in 2011 than in 1993. Violent non - fatal crime victimization overall (with or without a firearm) also is down markedly ( 72 %) over two decades .

So due to whatever reasons, crime is down by half of its peak in '93.  Unfortunately crime dropping doesn't sell as many papers as blaring headlines of multiple deaths and carnage.  It leaves an impression:

Despite national attention to the issue of fire arm violence , most Americans are unaware that gun crime is lower today than it was two decades ago. According to a new Pew Research Center survey, today 56% of Americans believe gun crime is higher than 20 years ago and only 12% think it is lower.

So only about 1 in 8 people pay attention to what is actually happening in lieu of the propaganda put out by ideologues with an agenda to push.

Thank you for telling every gun owner in the United States that you think they are nothing but potential serial killers just waiting for a chance to kill anyone they can.
But you 'Support the 2nd Amendment'.  Yeah sure.
