The "R" Doesn't Stand for Republican

No matter your stance on the DISCLOSE Act, Paul Helmke of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Ownership attacks the myth that the NRA is an arm of the Republican Party (or vice-versa):

This is not the first piece of sensible legislation that NRA-backed Democrats have thwarted or jeopardized because of their allegiance to the NRA and the money it pours into their campaigns.

You can find that pertinent information amidst all the wailing and gnashing of teeth over the fact that the BC, even w/ the loosening of the 'exemption' requirements, are nowhere near them.

It never ceases to amaze me how the BC people can take utter nonsense, call it sensable, and then promote it to reasonable common sense, and expect us to believe them.
The credibility these folks enjoy has gone from zero into negative numbers.
