Daley mocks 'machoism' of GOP hopeful Thompson
Mayor Daley ridiculed Republican presidential hopeful Fred Thompson on Thursday for strutting his stuff -- and showing off his "machoism" -- by campaigning at gun shows..
"It's like machoism: 'I'm gonna go to a gun show, walk around and show you how macho I am.'"
And Daley spouted as well:
"Daley said there should be a national debate about gun violence. It should be at the forefront of the presidential debate among Daley's fellow Democrats and among Republicans now consumed by the war in Iraq, he said."
Guess what Dick, there's already a "national debate". It's called elections. And you're losing on the issue. That's why nobody's fighting over a Brady endorsement That's why the number of 2A resolutions in Illinois is now up to 44. That's why there are now 48 states w/ CCW in one form or another. That's why nearly 2 dozen states have or are passing Castle Doctrine laws. That's why "Assault Weapon" bans have been failing. That's why the Tiahrt Amendment is still in place. That's why your new paper on "gun violence" and most anti-gun groups have to be funded by Plutocrats.
Now go on back to your office protected by taxpayer provided security and wipe the slaver from your chin.
