Two Reviews & A Lawsuit Threat

So Taurus comes out w/ a new handgun w/ some 'unique' features.

Mig puts up a positive review using some online stock photography from online. 

GSL puts up a negative review (referring to it as a 'turd), also using some stock online pics, and calls out G&A for never ever publishing a bad review on any firearm, good or garbage.

Guess who got a nastygram from a G&A editor threatening a lawsuit over 'slander' and unauthorized use of copyrighted images?

We Now Won't Interrupt Your Regular Programming For This Important News

Major Presidential Announcement?  Won't do it because it's sweeps week (or something).

The administration said today that Obama will be speaking live from the White House at 8 PM ET on Thursday. But ABC has the fall finale for Grey’s Anatomy on at that time, while CBS has ratings powerhouse The Big Bang Theory, NBC has reality show The Biggest Loser and Fox has Bones. As of right now, none plans changes to their regularly scheduled Thursday night November sweep schedules for the approximately 15-minute speech.

It's more important to keep the sheeple entertained than educated.

When Reality Hits: Fergusen Edition

So looming riots and violence?  People decide to protect themselves.

Gun dealers in parts of the St. Louis suburbs have reported brisk sales, especially among first-time buyers, as local residents wait for a grand jury decision on whether to indict the Ferguson police officer who fatally shot teenager Michael Brown this past August. 
One shop, Metro Shooting Supplies, located in an area near the city's main airport, reported selling two to three times more weapons than usual in recent weeks — an average of 30 to 50 guns each day.
The St. Louis County Police Department reports a sharp increase in the number of concealed-carry permits issued since Brown's death compared with a year ago.

Funny that.  When people are actually threatened, they don't call for more gun control, they call for more guns.

After a 'gun free' day on Friday, Chicago honor students then go on to raise the bar w/ 5 dead and 16 wounded over the weekend. 

Those 'safe zones' have been abandoned. 

Troll Acct or Real MDA Supporter? It's Hard To Tell. UPDATE

There's some high grade stupid right there, almost too much to be believed especially along w/ some of the other idiotic posts this individual has made recently.  Has to be a troll account, right?

I'm not 100% sure after scrolling down to the very beginning of this person's (recent) twitter account.  It starts out w/ fairly typical w/ a flurry of MDA copy-paste tweets like this over a short time:

So which is it?  Is it a really well done troll account or is she really this stupid?

ROBOTECH Tactics Has Arrived

Outside of the whole 594 thing in WA and the petition in NV, the gun front has been relatively quiet and I'm not in the mindframe to deal w/ politics. Others have been dealing w/ the UBC issue better than I've been able to so I haven't spent much time writing about it. Instead I've been dealing w/ work and looking forward to the new ROBOTECH mini's game to arrive which, after countless delays, it finally did (Wave 1 at least).

Cat was already present.  Opening it up. I got the 'Showdown' package so x2 of everything.

Of the core boxes, I opened up one.  I'm debating whether I'm going to gift, sell, or piece out the 2nd.

Main box:

Opened up , most of the items were sloppily loosepacked but all the accessories were present and there didn't seem to be any damages:

 Sprues (per box).  5 veritechs in the three forms (+1 battloid), 12 battlepods, , 1 ea recon, officer and recovery pod, 2 Excaliber/Tomohawks, 2 Raider X/Defenders.

Game accessories including cards, dice, stands, decals, and rulebook etc.

Then I tore open the KS bonus bags including tons more veritechs and battlepods and including artillery pods, Gladiators/Excalibers, Phalanx/Spartans, and accessories.

Now comes the assembly, painting, etc which it what I dislike most about minis and why I have others take care of it for me.  Until that gets done, it will be rule reading and devising tactics for the game.

Target Shooting = 'Increased Aggression'?

Did you know that it's been 'proven' that target shooting, plinking, and competitions increase aggression in participants?

Yeah, neither did I.
