3 dead, 8 hurt in shootings since Friday nightThe Joyce Puppet Illinois Council to Prevent Handgun Ownership puts up this post on FB:
3 people dead and 8 injured overnight and how do Illinois House members respond? They pass a dangerous concealed carry bill?!?!? We must stop this bill in the Illinois Senate. Please call this weekend and tell them to vote NO on SB2193 we need a measure that will help save lives! The violence needs to stop! Please like and shareSo since Friday NIGHT, 3 killed/8 injured and the IL House 'Responds' (note that word) by passing a bill Friday MORNING.
This, ladies and gentlemen, is a prime example of anti-rights groups dancing in the blood of the dead to push their agenda.

Lying is second nature to them. I doubt they could distinguish between truth and lie.
Hello there! This is my first comment on your blog, and it is over an issue in which I am most familiar.
I addressed the gun control debate in America in my blog "Conservatively-Speaking: A Conservative-Libertarian Blog on Today's Issues" titled "Opinion: What Made Possible the Foundation of America -- the Gun -- Won Our Independence, So Why Take It Away?" In it, I posted the recent background and results of the gun control bill that was shot down in the Senate. I also researched the history guns have played in Anglo-America since the first English settlers settled the first permanent colony in Jamestown in 1607. I then discuss how Americans identify more with the principle behind the French Revolution, atheism, in comparison to what John Adams claimed the American Revolution was fought under: "The general principles...were -- the general principles of Christianity and the general principles of English and American Liberty," as well as Bill Fortenberry's assertions that "America was founded on the recognition of two distinct yet complimentary set of laws -- the law of nature and the Law of nature's God." Lastly, I tie into the reason atheism, and ultimately the Revolution, failed in France, and why the New Atheists have succeeded over the radical leftists of the French Revolution over the course of the pas 50 years succeeded in transforming the American consciousness from one of Judeo-Christian values by promising Americans a society free of God and the restrictions of religion -- and thus, the concept of responsibilities to our neighbors within our community and our family units that Christianity teaches us we all have as our religious duties. Finally, I state emphatically that the Left in the U.S. does not respect the doctrine upon which the Founding Fathers established the Constitution and its Bill of Rights, neither of which would have happened without the brave patriots fighting for these liberties in the American Revolution, and because of this, they will attempt to say that the right to bear arms is not a God-given right, that it goes against the nature for a people in a society to possess such things as guns that can be used to kill others, including agents of the government, should the people feel the urge to rebel after the laws become disagreeable to the public.

+1 on Chief's comment... sigh
My comments have been deleted and I've been banned since I commented on the comparison between IGOLD (8,000+) and the latest anti-gun rally at Springfield (maybe 200)
Rich
So much for an bi-partisian open dialog
I just asked what happened to your comment about the House responding on Friday morning to stuff that happened on Friday night. Wonder how long it will take to get removed?
Less than 5 minutes :D
I just posted roughly the same thing and mentioned that responding to something that hasn't happened yet would be like deleting my comment before I made it. We'll see how long it lasts...
LMAO!
Reasoned Discourse is in full effect. My comment was removed and I am banned.
