Rob, I would guess none. They are allowed "assault magazines" that are only good for killing as many newspaper carriers as possible in the shortest amount of time.
In all seriousness, this is a perfect example of the importance of ammunition capacity. These were trained officers who intended to kill those two ladies (thinking they were one person). They fired 30-40 times and managed to only injure one. If that were Dorner, and that were me he was coming after, and considering I am not as “highly trained” as a LAPD officer, it seems I would need at least a 50 round drum in this situation.
