I don't know... I can't fit a can-can line of inept dancers in my waistband holster. (True, _guns_ don't save lives; but people with guns often do, as several muggers on three occasions decided.)
CSGV: Working to provide safe workplaces for violent felons since 1974. "Because we'd rather see a woman raped and strangled to death in an alley than to see her with a handgun."
So, my elderly neighbor is going to come and save me and my family when three home invaders kick in my door? I'm sure he will be able, unarmed, to stop the carnage all by himself.
How about the old story of all of those city slickers who refused to get involved and let someone get killed in broad day light on the street?
The CSGV group needs to be drug tested immediately. I suspect that they will find they ingested mass quantities of unicorns and magical rainbows.
They think they're being cute by trying to co-opt one of our tenets.
What they don't seem to realize is that they're admitting that we've been right all along.
The issue isn't really about guns on either side.
On our side, it's about ensuring that people have the right to equip themselves properly to defend themselves against younger, stronger, more capable assailants (whether criminals, agents of tyranny, or enemies of our society).
On their side, it's about ensuring that people are controlled.

"It should also be noted that the individuals in the drawing in no way represents the lily-white employees of the CSGV. "
Which is why it's a drawing and not a photograph.
They're right, guns don't protect people. Usually, people WITH GUNS do.

I breathlessly await the logical next step: CSGV calls for disarming all police; replace guns with jazz hands.
"Why carry a gun? Because a whole cop is too heavy."
