David Codrea finds a profile for a troll by the name of 'BantheNRA' who frequently posts the usual fanatical rantings and ravings of gun control advocates. The photo is of Bryan Miller, exec of the effectively defunct 'Ceasefire NJ'. Some comments left on blogs had an IP from New Jersey and the profile link goes to Bryan's current 'group'.
If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck....

To tell you the truth, when I'd encountered "BantheNRA" around the 'Net before, I'd always figured it was someone working undercover on our side, parodying the most ridiculous hysterics from the forcible citizen disarmament lobby. Always struck me as something of a wasted effort, given that side's seeming inability to avoid parodying itself, without our help.
"BantheNRA," after all, is even more hilariously ludicrous than Jadegold, who had, to my way of thinking, pretty well established the limit of anti-gun idiocy that's actually intended to be taken seriously.
If this silly farce really is serious about representing the "gun control" crowd, and especially if this is what Bryan Miller has sunk to, we're doing even better than I'd thought.
I thought somebody had tracked that handle to a certain UN Office in Rome.
Not like either offender is any different. I swear they clone trolls in a basement lab in DC.
Nice to see an anti-gunner foolishly needling gun owners, who could use a little stimulation from time to time to remind them that they do indeed have enemies who want to destroy them. Complacency is our worst enemy, so it's beneficial for us to have foolish enemies who keep us on our toes without doing any real harm. Ban the NRA? That's good for a laugh! Ban yo' mama! :)
BanTheNRA is most definitely not Bryan Miller. I've fed that troll a little on NJ.com, and at first he would just praise BM (pun intended), and he had no avatar. Then he started pretending to be BM and updated his avatar. Miller was always up front about who he was; he used to have a blog on NJ.com along with Scott Bach. Neither has posted in well over a year.
Chas,
Ban yo' mama? Ban O' BAMA!

I don't suppose they have "miller" tags for duck season...?
