Women of Illinois Make Your Voice Heard!
Right to Carry Bill HB148 will be Heard in House Agriculture Committee
Stratton Bldg. Room 413
Tues. March 8, 2011
Let's fill the committee room with the women of Illinois showing support for Right to Carry in Illinois! (Men are welcome too of course)
When right to carry laws were being passed in other states, legislators were asked why they decided to vote in support of the law. Their response was that when the women of their state began demanding the right to protect themselves it was very difficult to look them in the eye and deny them that right.
No one knows more than women how important it is to be able to protect themselves.
We encourage the women of Illinois to attend the hearing and sign a witness slip in support of the bill.
The U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in Heller vs DC and McDonald vs Chicago is building momentum behind HB148 introduced by Rep. Brandon Phelps. Those two decisions are poised to bring the right to keep and bear arms back to Illinois.
Let's send a message to Gov. Quinn that the days of Illinois women defending themselves with car keys and hair combs are over!
Attend the Committee Hearing!
Make your voice heard!!
