ISP Can't Get It's Act Together On Crime Reporting

It's already December of 2010 and the Illinois State Police (ISP) have yet to issue its Uniform Crime Report (UCR) for 2009.

The ISP's been in non-compliance w/ FBI UCR standards for years limiting the ability to measure crime rates in comparison to other states, cities and regions in most categories. So even though they've spent the last 2 years plus trying to get their act together, it comes as no surprise that it became and remains one big cluster although there's lots of finger pointing going on.

And that prevents me from continuing my Illinois crime comparisons showing just how ineffectual Chicago's gun laws have been in preventing crimes.

I'm so glad my state police are so efficient.
