AK's, RPG's, and Grenades! Oh My!

As has been reported, more PSH in regards to Mexico and guns.

Basically we have two options.

1) There really are gun shops that are selling RPG's, Grenades, and AK-47's by the hundreds to the Mexican Drug Cartels. The thousands of legal firearm owners in TX,AZ, and NM just can't find them.

or

2) The 'reporters', assuming they actually go to the shows to 'investigate', see dummy grenades, Prop RPG-7's w/ inert rockets, and semi-auto AK-47's and are unable/unwilling to tell the difference. The heavy weapons the Drug Cartels are actually using are coming from the corrupt Mexican military and Drug Cartels south of their border.

Which seems the more likely answer?

Damn.

I must be going to the wrong gun shows.

Neither...

What's really happening?

Mexico begs America for aid against the drug cartels. We drop them $10 million dollars. They buy weapons from us and elsewhere to arm their police forces. Which are mostly run by drug cartels. And said weapons are handed over to the very groups they're supposed to be fighting.

Then they blame America and claim they need more money to fight such criminal elements.

And the cycle continues...

A pal lives in the Phoenix area, I knew it rang a bell. Mexican cops arrested for pulling straw deals at AZ gun shows in 2007

Still looking for those cheap select fire rifles, grenades, and RPGs at Texas gun shows.

You think I can sue the gun shows for discriminating against me, and not displaying these guns for sale? That seems like the modern methodology, anyway...

;)

I think the so-called expert has been watching too many badly researched movies.

Come on BobG. Don't you know that if you push a button behind the register, a wall will slide away revealing dozens of rocket launchers, machineguns, and high explosives?

This is true for every gun shop in the US.

Wow... if anyone can turn up any of those RPGs, please ship one my direction. A tree stump would be its only victim, but it would be so worth it.

In other news, journalists are idiots. Nothing new there :).
