In a closed session, they voted to close and seize the Caseyville Rifle and Pistol Club gun range located outside Mascoutah to allow for a building of a concrete plant against widespread opposition to their constituents.
Not surprisingly, St. Clair county has not voted to support the 2A resolutions.

Actually, the proposed concrete plant would be on the other side of the base in an agricultural area slowly moving towards residential. However there is already a concrete plant across the road from the club site.
Kern seems to be acting like the typical left leaning gun hating socialist that looks to curry favor with people other than the middle class liberty loving person. Not unlike his social equivs in Cook County. The next important court date is Nov 8th. Pray for a dismissal with prejudice. But that's about as likely as St. Clair or Cook going Republican or Libertarian in this state.
There could be an upside to the club getting $2.5mil (the $2mil price is lowball). We could then end up on a site with longer than 200 yard ranges! Though the current location has some of the nicest ranges and bench oriented firing lines I have had the pleasure to shoot at. And from the firing line you can not even see what kind of plane is flying nearby without setting your weapon down and walking away from the firing line. If it weren't for wet targets, you could comfortably shoot in any weather from dawn to dusk. I have gone shooting during a drizzle once already.

"What part of 'shall not be infringed' don't liberals understand?"
